Propaganda.

Your audience will not listen to other opinions if you tell them those people are "toxic" and "liars". Multiple times I had my arguments (about something totally unrelated) ignored and instead I got a response "dont read his post about finance/economy - he is posting on r/MensRights".

Religions did it since the dawn of time. Such people are broken beyond repair, too bad that there is so many of them.

It's a heavy mix of the women are wonderful effect, women viewing equality as hostile sexism, smear campaigns by feminists, and general apathy about men's rights.

Generally I don't believe its because they are less informed about men's issues. Seems as though some rather give the impression if it doesn't effect me then why should I be bothered vibe. Yet its kind of ironic at the same time some are probably unaware of the damage modern feminism is doing to themselves. Weaponized MSM has a lot to answer for too.

Because MRA is a morally good and just cause, but it forces you to put your ego aside and engage intellectually with the world (which due to ego investment is next to psychological torture). A lot of people tend to go for the intellectual shortcuts of using emotions as justification and not thinking critically or thinking of the way ideas originate. Instant gratification caused by using these shortcuts, leads to popularity of using them, but leads to ruin over generations/long term.

It is hard to delay gratification, but by doing so one can achieve that which is otherwise impossible.

Interesting bit of information: the ability to delay gratification is correlated with higher IQ.

Because of the lack of empathy towards men that has been pretty common lately. Most people think that talking about men's issues somehow invalidates women's issues, which is wrong btw. Just yesterday I commented for the first time in this sub and got permanently banned from r/offmychest because I "made a comment on a redpil/incel" sub. The post was a reminder that International Men's day is in November. That's it. That's all it takes to be an "incel". That made me want to comment more on this sub.

Direct, intentional and malicious disinformation from a few, which becomes genuine misinformation for many who don't know us.

It's changing for the better though, I'm definitely noticing a difference. I can be openly MRA in default or non-political subs and get upvoted, or at least not downvoted. 3 years ago it was worse, 5 years ago it was much worse. We're winning.

Because any pro-male subs are quarantined or banned. The admins and mods actively suppress any about of information regarding men’s rights issues. I also believe that they artificially inflate anti-MRA propaganda to coerce ignorant people into believing we’re a bunch of alt-right, anti-women menaces.

Misandric women effectively have free reign to be sexist against men, because very few people will ever truly correct them. Most men are either too afraid of being delegitimized or too busy virtue signaling for female approval to call them out on it. Most women are too stuck in their current viewpoint to consider a male/balanced perspective or just want to enable other women to be chauvinistic/sexist, because they are chauvinistic/sexist too.

This is the current status quo of this discourse. Feminism and gynocentrism have an insane amount of social influence, which is pretty ironic considering they effectively run on a platform of "women are oppressed and have no power". There's also a great deal of female privilege that plays into it, in that women can effectively hold on any ignorant, idiotic or bigoted viewpoint, without it ever effecting their romantic, social or sexual prospects(this applies to professional prospects too but to a lesser extant). Most men just have to take it and keep quiet, or expose themselves to an insane amount of misandry, vilification, delegitimization or belittlement for it. This is especially pertinent when so much of what defines "masculinity" or male success revolves around how much female attention, validation or attraction men can establish.

They’re not poorly informed. The people running it or working on algorithms: the people in power are mostly SJWs or feminists or just don’t give a fuck about men. If your ideas are not inline with their ideas, they can nuke a sub. It’s a one way aggression against men.

it's not that they're "poorly informed", it's that they've been lied to by the echo chambers they never pull their head out of.

anyone COULD come to this sub, read, converse, and interact with actual MRA's and see that far from misogynistic monsters, they're just people who advocate equality for everyone...but they won't do that because they just accept what they've been told by people who are actively trying to control them.

You can just look at how different subs deal with opposing viewpoints. r/mensrights engages in conversation, typically provides references (sometimes exhaustive ones), and literally tells them they're welcome here. Feminist subreddits pre-emptively bans people so they never have to hear an opposing view.

They aren't misinformed, they are following social norms. Despite feminism's progressive talking points its about the oldest most basic idea around; men should protect women. Whether thats from sabre tooth tigers, or rapists, or their own stupidity, the central idea remains. Its a very old sexist gender role that society largely conforms to. It doesn't matter one bit if MR is right or wrong, morally justifiable or not. Places like reddit don't agree with MR because it goes against the grain.

Because this subreddit has a stronger free speech policy than other subreddits (especially gender subreddits) and so there are legitimately angry, spiteful, stupid things that people post and it doesn't get removed. Someone who wants to make this subreddit look bad just simply needs to find those and point them out. For someone who isn't willing to read the rest of the subreddit, all they see is the idiots.

I can't understand their point here. like them saying misandry is itself misogyny, so helping women would ultimately solves misandry nevertheless they don't say the same like misogyny itself is misandry, so helping men will solves women's issue. either say that both misandry and misogyny is gonna hurt everyone because men and women are both part of society and ultimately affecting everyone or don't say anything like one sided. don't be a hypocrite.
