I often hear people on this forum and elsewhere say that all you need to do when talking to someone you find attractive is to just treat them like they're a normal person, and if they are attracted to you, the details will take care of themselves (i.e. a short-term or long-term romantic connection with physical intimacy will arise without specifically-focused effort toward that goal if you both desire it).

To people who give this sort of advice, what you do differently when interacting with someone you're attracted to in order to establish a short-term or long-term romantic connection including physical intimacy, verses interacting with someone you don't want to be intimate with? Is it further different if you want to establish short-term versus long-term relations? This is in terms of conversation, eye contact, body language, initiating physical contact, choice of activity, etc.
