Honestly yes. Even as someone born and raised in the Christian suburbs of the American South I can't relate to a good number of claims about "Western" culture as a whole that are made on here.

All of these discussions and debates are pointless we do not have concrete statistics scientific proof, same baselines. No one can argue with math and science because it can be proven in black and white paper. With human relationships it is so murky convoluted and self contradictory that it would be futile.

People around these parts flip flop on this constantly.

When manosphere says AWALT, blue pill goes on about how things are different among different cultures and social circles.

When manosphere talks about being a passport bro to take advantage of differing cultures, blue pill goes on about how all the women abroad are no better than those at home.

Not really. There are some local nuances but the underlying issues are the same, especially in the Western world.

To be honest most discussions in here are 100% based on US culture. I live in northern Europe and even if it's considered the "west" there are many things I can't relate to. Things like "Men should always approach", "First date should be a dinner and the man always pays" or "Fat women can be attractive" is pure nonsense where I live.

I think there's just too many conclusions drawn from people here that just include their limited personal anecdotes.

A lot of them are easily disproven or proven to be outliers by looking at statistics. Hell, sometimes even by just by going to your local Walmart and looking around for an hour.

Is so true , I’m from Europe and two years ago I had a really lovely conversation on a train with a blonde German woman. She was at least 6”0. If she was from my country that girl wouldn’t have even looked at me or straight up left the car. Some women want to be hit on and flirted with. And it has 100% to do with mentality.

I think what's useless is the differing cultures coming here and thinking their culture is relevant in the discussion. The overwhelming majrity of us on reddit are from the US, Canada, Australia or the UK.

Different towns almost never have s different dating culture . Cultures are normally bound by countries .

Also dating culture is heavily influenced by the values of a nation or group of people.

Why is anglosphere = West in your post, don't people generally consider northern & western Europe a part of the West?

And I think cultural norms play a role, as a non-Western person here I'm not always sure whether my experiences are applicable to what others are seeing, and I'm certain they don't have some of the experiences that I do. But I don't think it's the biggest factor. Factors I think have a greater weight than culture when predicting someone's BP/RP alignment:

socio-economic class
gender
length of longest relationship
romantic/sexual experience
neurotypicality

I'm not sure of this though, there are much more misogynistic cultures than my own, I may be mistaken.

I’ve found that being online, everyone from a western background (be that UK, Ireland, America, Australia) seem to think that their experiences of the dating culture apply the same everywhere.

No we don’t, we assume most here are western.
