i'd say subjective.

although pretty privilege sometimes can get you away with a few things sure, sometimes if you get the ick or get a creepy feeling no matter how hot the guy is creepy is scary. i'd say case by case.

I've seen creepy defined as "persistently engaging in unwanted sexual or romantic advances". Thus if the advances are wanted, then the behavior is not creepy. Therefore "creepy" is subjective, a woman may find an action creepy when one man does it, but not when another does it. Similarly another woman may find the same man's actions not creepy.

Also, obviously attractiveness is a factor in this. By the definition of creepy we have it is going to be far less common for an attractive man's actions to be considered creepy, which is not to say an attractive man can't be creepy, but whatever they do is just more likely to come off as flattering.

Of course attractiveness completely dictates creep status or not. Don't you remember 6'5 Chad, Armie Hammer? He was telling girls that he's into cannibalism and shit, he must've went through like 60 women before 1 of them finally ratted him out.

When I discuss creepy men or women, it's only referring to their behavior. Attractiveness doesn't matter, whether they're a 2 or a 9. Creepy is creepy.

If some stranger comes up to me at a restaurant and starts rubbing my shoulders, or invading my personal space, or sniffing my hair, or leering at me...that's very creepy shit that I don't want to be around at all.

It's mostly objective because most men and many women are required to follow social rules when it comes to interacting with people whom they are attracted to. But people who are attractive enough of both sexes can get away with "creepy" behavior, so in that sense it becomes subjective.

Some women online proudly announce all the time on social media they don't like fboys, old men, young losers, creepy dudes, incels, red pill, guys who ghost, guys that just want to f, guys with small p, guys who show too much emotion....

If there is any possible monolith of guy, women will say they're all creeps and want nothing to do with them. Men are so annoying, I just want to get married to my dream man that is so hyper specific he doesn't exist, so I never ever have to interact with a man again.

Here's what we collectively as guys need to do, just ignore them. If a girl on this sub or anywhere is trying to treat men as a creepy monolith or is saying it's all your fault because women don't like you. Whatever the trolling case may be. It's not a gender war. People can't bully others or hate openly anymore, this is their moment to vent.

Just ignore women when they attack men online and for the love of pete, don't agree with them and think that's going to get you laid. It will do the opposite.

There are acts of creepiness that are more or less objective (e.g. a man continueing to harass a woman after she tells him to back off, stalking your classmate you have never talked to on facebook and so on) and there are acts of creepiness that are subjective (e.g. "He was staring at me!" when in reality he was lost in thoughts, "He just gives me a bad vibe" when he's just depressed etc). Generally he more subjective creepiness is when he is accused of the worst possible motivations even though he hasn't done anything wrong.

It’s subjective.

When I was in college, my roommate and I tested this theory. I was very attractive, and he was unfortunately, the complete opposite, but still a great guy and a good friend. This experiment was his idea.

We had group of friends out together a bunch of pick up lines, ranging from completely polite to completely deranged. We both tried out the same lines to women at our school while the others observed.

There was zero correlation between what somebody said and how they reacted, but there was definitely a correlation between our looks and their responses.

Attraction is the biggest factor that plays into determining whether someone is creepy or not. The more objectively attractive they are the more objectively creepy they would have to be in order to be considered creepy. It's human nature to be more considerate of somebody you find more attractive. Plenty of not homophobic hetero men would find a homosexual guy absolutely creepy as fuck for hitting on them. They have zero attraction so just showing romantic interest would be off putting and potentially creepy for some men

There are objective and subjective kinds of creepy. Behaviours that significantly break general social norms would fall into the objective kinda of creepy. Staring at a woman for 3 hours straight is objectively creepy. However behaviours that fall more into the "weird" vibe are greater influenced by attraction

The halo effect is probably tied into the creepy conversation

To me, a creep is a guy who comes on strong after I have given him no reason to do so. It requires a certain lack of awareness and a certain level of presumption for me to go there.

Do some women label men creeps over non-creepy behavior? Maybe. Would a woman label a guy she’s not interested in a creep for doing something that a guy whom she’s interested in could do and not be called a creep? Also maybe.

However, it’s in a guy’s best interest to get a strong vibe of a woman being interested before making a move. Coming on to women who have given you no indication that they are interested is objectively creepy.

My thoughts are... Obviously people are graded on the curve. And that's fine. Nobody owes a 4 the same type of treatment as they give a 10, and anybody who thinks otherwise is just delusional.
