I agree. Looks are the main and only thing that matters in this day and age, and those who deny it are coping tbh. Personality mainly boils down to not being a bad person and after that most people are compatible for relationships. If your face is fucked or your height is bad then you’re cooked in today’s dating market.

Yes. Traditional gender roles are less of a factor, and yes, people date now because they want to, not because they need to - BUT - I hate the framing of “Toyota vs Ferrari”, cause people ultimately go with what they like and what’s compatible with them.

Some prefer the safety and utility of a Toyota, others prefer the rugged energy of a truck, some want the presence and weight of a muscle car, some like the vintage feel of a more classical car, some want something small and economical, some want something with history and character. Note everyone wants the shiny, difficult to maintain luxury sports car.

People want different different, people value different things and preferences are made up of a combination of psychological factors, traits you like and sure, looks, but here is the thing with looks: people can be quite lenient with them assuming you’re not butt ugly - and even if you are, someone might (might, not will, I know some of ya’ll will read it as will) be into the person themselves rather than how they look.

This is all to say - attraction is complex, relationships are complex. Let’s not simplify it by pitting ourselves against unrealistic standards that most people won’t even ever interact with

Looks, then stability are all you need. Pretty privilege has an even more pronounced effect for men, since most men never register on most womens’ radar.

It’s not foolproof by any measure but you’ll sure as hell get your foot through a lot of doors.

Yes, we do. We are communal and social beings.

Women can work, make their own money, and own a bank account. Men can buy food, hire a maid, and get off to the internet.

Even in the context of "casual" relationships, some sort of feelings and attachments become involved. Attraction is not strictly about looks. Looks matter a lot for attraction, no doubt, but the chemistry, the vibe, how two people relate to each matters a great deal. Yes, even in casual relationships and hookups.

Well, no. Exotic car brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin absolutely make performance a selling point for their vehicles. They wouldn't be as desired if they were just four-cylinder economy boxes with fancy exteriors, but I digress.

How do you sell a Ferrari? You make it a nice shiny object, give a visceral emotional experience to it.

You're sort of refuting your own point without realizing it. Even vehicle purchases are emotional ones. Humans are typically emotional, and our "logic" is informed by our emotions and biases. It's often why some guys prefer Ford and others prefer Chevy. It's not necessarily a rational choice, it comes down to "I like how the Mustang looks over the Camaro".

I think you're trying to say that relationships are all about purely cold, self serving desires, but I don't even agree with that. The whole point of a relationship nowadays is that you're with someone you want to be with, that much is true. The best relationships happen because two people want to be together, not because of economic or societal coercion. But the very desire for relationships is born out of humanity, it's that we want to be together with someone. Even if we don't "need" somebody's money or status, we still need to form connections with others. Being able to jerk off or get the bag won't change that.

Passport bros think just because you go to a different geographic region, you magically meet better woman. No, those women don’t have options like in the west. This is similar to companies finding cheap labor in foreign countries. This is temporary as the whole world, is becoming westernized.

This is completely wrong.

Females are not like males. Our sexual selection is binary. You are either hot enough or you're not. Females are more compartmental. If you're not hot enough for casual sex (which if youre passport broing youre probably not) you can still easily get into a quality long term relationship if you have sufficient status or money. The trick is you have to have A LOT more money or status for this to work. This is why it often fails in the West. Most guys are the same or similar level of status/money.

Much like outsourcing it works for the same reason. You're arbitraging the fact that the Western world is far more developed and richer. Which makes you high status even if you're not a high earner.
