Only men cheat. This isn't because they want something more but it's actually because they enjoy breaking women down, especially while pregnant. Any other rationale is sexist and misogynistic. Please do the world a favour men and die in a pit of venomous snakes

I think her explanation is nonsense: " Infidelity is belittling, a classic trait of misogyny, and cheating is, in turn, a product of patriarchy. It comes from the underlying rumble that minimizes, disparages, and objectifies women."

Honestly, I think a lot of feminist thought revolves around women trying to understand male psychology, approaching the subject with a negative bias against men, doing a poor job of understanding male psychology, and insisting that they know what they're talking about.

However, as much as I hate to support anything that she might say on the subject - I can see some reasons why male-power can increase cheating. Effectively, if a woman is very dependent on a man, she is less likely to cheat (she has a lot to lose) and he is more likely to cheat because he knows he can cheat and not face too many consequences if he gets caught. In some countries, it's sort of begrudgingly accepted that a man might have a mistress on the side. They tend to be more male-dominated cultures (like Latin cultures). There was also some interesting stuff that Robert Sapolsky (the Stanford Professor) said about male-female behavior in the animal world under various gender dynamics. In some species, the males get females pregnant and do little or none of the child-raising. In other species, there's a much more egalitarian system and the males take a big role in child-rearing (e.g. New World monkeys). There are a whole bunch of behaviors associated with these two systems. One interesting thing was that females are more likely to cheat on males under egalitarian systems. If the dynamic holds true in humans, it means women are going to cheat more in gender-egalitarian societies than in patriarchal societies. In other words, feminism will result in higher rates of female infidelity.

Some guys limit to what they can stand is more than others.

However. wait until AFTER the kid comes out. That is when it TRULY can get a lot worse as the woman takes on a new role of MOTHER.
