I'm not really familiar with MGTOW philosophy. Is it just men who decide to completely avoid women? Is it ok to be gay as an MGTOW? I'm honestly just curious.
It's basically being a bachelor and making decisions in life that best benefit yourself and to achieve best outcomes. I date women in a serial monogamy fashion. I just don't marry anyone or move in with them, among other things. It's not about staying away from women or hating them, at least, not for me.
I only know what it is for myself but it should apply to any man, I don't see why gay men should be excluded. There are extremists and haters in every group, you just have to ignore those people.

So being childfree, no intimacy/romantic love from a woman is appealing? Not hating on you, just 99.99% decided on my divorce but having second thoughts about it. Have had the divorce discussion before but I tried to "make it work" several times after and this latest current "trying to make it work again" trial is only a week old and I have actually been angrier and more upset and hurt than I was when we were separated before I got into this mess again. I suppose I am just gathering strength to finally make that call to the lawyer and get it over with while I am still relatively poor and we don't own join assets/children yet. But swallowing the Red Pill has been extremely hard on the psyche/belief system I grew up with. Posts like the one from OP pull me over to the other side again, while I don't give a fuck about children, I definitely don't wanna bang a sex robot and hooking up with escorts is like an invitation to STDs and frankly not very appealing either. I don't see an actual solution to this problem of loneliness from the MGTOW community.

As a MGTOW I live alone but practice serial monogamy. We all need contact and intimacy, I just don't formalize the relationship and create legal jeopardy through marriage.
MGTOW is about making the best decisions for your own best possible outcomes. It's not about hating women.
It's just about having goals in all aspects of life, personal, professional, physical, financial, emotional, mental, and prioritizing those goals before anything or anyone else.
As you succeed in these areas, you become happier, and, ironically, more attractive to women on several levels.
It's just living life on your own terms instead of what society would dictate.

I'm in this same camp. Awful marriage, horrific divorce. This arrangement seems to optimize my happiness while minimizing my legal risks. I'm always upfront with women that I'll never marry or move in with them. Some don't like that and move on, others stay or come in and out of my life. It's been interesting but peaceful.

• I doubt that the majority of MGTOW are incels when a lot of them are divorcees or had experienced an abusive relationship(s) in the past. You can deny their claims but that's not a productive way to conduct oneself in a debate space.
• Of course there are incels who use the philosophy as a cop-out, but this is a reality for every philosophical/political group:
-A lot of Feminists are women with white savior complexes and penis envy.
-A lot of Christian traditionalists hide behind the idea of sexual virtue as a phallic compensation.
-A lot of white men turn to the Alt-Right to suppress their interracial cuck fantasies.
