I don't care about n-count and I really don't give a shit and you don't see me screeching about it. But I'm a very low n-count (N=1) male and I can't see how I would be compatible with some high n-count women. It's whatever to me because it's a non-issue. What would a high n-count woman want with me? Nothing.

If he’s a traditional guy who’s looking for someone with a similarly low count, and yours is 80, is it really so wrong he doesn’t think your compatible or god forbid find you gross. Women with very high n-counts are either that way because they have no self control e.g. manic depression or other serious mental issues, or were sexually abused as children, or were trading sex for something.

None of which is conducive to being a good life partner.

It is hypocrisy, plain and simple. I'm a huge... er Kant... fan boy, and try to think of universal maxims when I formulate my beliefs. And i cannot come up with any good reasons as to why the double standard exists under an assumption that all sentient beings deserve the same respect.

Now. There are reasons to care about "N-Count". The biggest one being safety. Somebody who has had a lot of sexual partners is more likely to have accumulated an STI, etc. But this isn't a fair standard to apply to women, because it applies just as evenly to a man who has had many sexual partners. Of course this doesn't speak to the safe sex practices of either party. And safe sex speaks volumes honestly. Women, I've noticed on the whole, tend to care a lot more about safe sex then men do... so I would trust a women who has a high N-Count to be safe far more than an equivalent man (in general).

The second issue is a jealousy one. I think people are naturally monogamous, and jealousy is a part of that. When I am in a relationship my partners don't want me being sexual with other women, and I don't want them being sexual with other men, so... we compromise and agree to monogamy. I can understand why someone's jealousy might be sparked by a partner's past... but again... like... men are held to a very different standard than women are here and women are just as entitled to feel jealous if their man is / was a "player".

I think what it comes down to... is honestly that men have emotions that they aren't comfortable with and culturally aren't trained to handle. Jealousy, I would hypothesize, is the root cause for this particular double standard held by men. So there is a lot of grandstanding and projecting on women by judging their past, rather than focusing on more difficult internal issues like "why I am so jealous?"

Lets emphasize this again. If we view the world through a lens of pure jealousy, it explains the hypocrisy you point to perfectly.

Jealousy of men having more sex then me = Want to sleep with as many women as possible, and inadvertently idolizing those men.
Jealousy of men having had past relationships with GF = want women to be as pure as possible and inadvertently demonizing those women who are not so pure.

I'm no stranger to jealousy, and its something that I'm trying to work on. It can be difficult to focus on and work on your own issues... it is far easier to tell yourself to project those issues onto other people and expect them to bend in such a way that emotions such as jealousy are not triggered.

Because women with high N-Counts produce an involuntary reacion in a man. The man feels disgust. (Exceptions will exist, I am not talking about them)

a woman's only real value to men is as a sex object. if she has a high n-count, then she is damaged goods and her value has obviously diminshed. this is really basic stuff.

here is an analogy: imagine you want to buy a car. your choice is between a brand new car fresh off the lot that is still shiny and running perfectly well and has that nice new car smell. or you can buy a used Roastiemobile that's had 9 prior owners and is all beat to shit and smells like old McDonalds.

obviously everyone would definitely prefer the nice new car if they could afford it, right? and this is true regardless of how much experience they had as a driver. a 16 year old buying their first car would prefer the new one but so would a professional race car driver who has pushed thousands of cars to their limit. if anything, the much more experienced driver would be able to appreciate the new car experience even more than the kid who is still learning how to drive.
