I should make a post about how women say they don't like muscles, but what they mean is that they don't like roid monsters, and that some men have naturally aesthetic builds and my body will always look gymbuilt and that sucks that women like natural builds.

It could be argued that "no makeup" makeup only emphasizes the pretty things about your face. Someone wearing that kind of makeup isn't likely to be tricking anyone because the object is to do as little as possible, be as yourself as possible. "This is the best version of myself."

When you go all out, falsies, contouring, bold shadows, etc., you are making yourself unrecognizable. "There is a different person under this makeup."

Creative types and individuals are always looked down on. They're outside of the norm. It's part of the price you pay for swimming upstream. If you want to be individualistic, you do you. However, you'll lose some of the safety that comes from blending in.

This is actually what I see people referring to as "trickery." Men may like the natural makeup look more, but contouring and artful concealing of flaws is what they consider artificial inflation of SMV. Everyone can spot catwing liner and red lips from a mile away; it's the subtle things that are harder to spot.

But really, who cares? Put whatever you want on your face and see what sort of reception you get IRL. If you don't like the reception you get, either work on not giving a fuck or adjust your appearance accordingly.

I like women with makeup. I like women with lots of makeup, especially dramatic, colorful and theatrical makeup. They seem to have a real sense of fun.

I don't like women with heaps of poorly applied makeup slapped on that does not go together or suit their complexion. They tend to be quite unaware and obnoxious IMO.

I don't like women who wear no make up at all. They tend to be boring stick in the muds.

And I can take or leave "the natural look". Yeah it's fine for work or going about your day, but I don't prefer it for social occasions. It's very easy to tell the difference between a minimalist natural look and no make up at all. Women who only ever wear minimal makeup also tend to dress pretty bland too, and they appear to have little imagination to me.

Who cares what randoms think of my makeup?? I loved every second of researching it, buying it, applying it, and wearing it. I even like removing it. (If I could bottle the feeling of pulling off false lashes and rubbing coconut oil all over one's face, I'd be a rich woman). If people/men think that makes me "fake," it says more about them than me. I have better people- like drag queens- to hang out with. The more we tell these dudes to fuck off, the fewer of them will suffer under the delusion that their opinions matter.

Personally, I don't wearing make up is necessarily a good idea. Not if you're looking for commitment.

It seems shortsighted to me. If you want commitment from somebody, a bad way to do it is to make yourself seem more attractive than you are. Once somebody sees the real you, their desire to commit is likely going to be lowered. If you are upfront from the get go, you filter out people who dislike the real you.

Given the make-up is pretty bad for your skin, the real you is also gonna be a lot more attractive if you don't often wear make up.

I might make a thread about this at some point. I wonder how women resolve that.

I'm disappointed, I thought this thread was going to be about men wearing makeup. I like men who wear makeup, and I wish it was socially acceptable.

That being said, I've never been one for no-makeup-makeup. If I want to look like I'm not wearing makeup, then I just don't wear any. And if I'm going to take the time to put on makeup, I want it to be noticeable.
