When the sexual marketplace is brought up, complaints and possible “solutions” inevitably follow. Most people (primarily average and below-average men) see it as something inherently flawed, nonsensical, and unfavorable; it obviously needs adjusting

The hard truth is that the SMP is exactly the way it should be. Women going for the best they can and men going for everything they can is not only incredibly sensical from a biological standpoint, but societal. It makes it so that men are forced to be the best that they can be- whether in looks, strength, intelligence, wealth, athleticism or general importance. I’m willing to bet that half of the world’s greatest inventions would not exist if it weren’t for this fact. It also makes it so that women have an imperative to stand out in an important way as it’s so easy for them to be interchangeable.

No sane soul can deny that the blue pill dream is absolutely ideal: everyone has the same sex drive, personality matters the most for sexual attraction (an “easy” personality like nice/polite at that), everyone is special “in their own way” despite being generic, and everyone gets a chance at the sex/commitment they want because they were born. However it’s just that- a dream. The world never has and never will work this way. You can force women to go for sub-par men but they’ll never actually desire them and you can force men to ignore their sex drives but that’s just implausible.
