I've not seen any posts asking this specific question, so I apologize if this is completely superfluous.

I am curious how everyone wound up here, and why you stay. From the thread asking whether or not minds had been changed I saw that a lot of people have grown from discussion here, but others haven't had their minds changed at all.

Are you here strictly to try to change the minds of others, to satisfy your curiosity about the views of either side, or is it something else entirely?

To answer my own question, I originally came here out of curiosity. I only use this username for RPW and RP-related subs, and wanted to find as many related subs as possible to peruse while bored at work. I stay because I enjoy civil discussion and learning about the viewpoints of others. It is frequently not-so-civil here, but the times when I can find someone up for a polite debate are worth enough to keep me coming back.
