Why aren't men allowed to self-identify as nice-guys?

I think automatically assuming a guy who says he's a nice guy is an asshole who feels entitled to sex is dumb.

However, "nice" isn't really something you can be by virtue of self-identifying as it. It's something that must be proven through actions. Someone telling you they're nice is about as useful as someone telling you they're smart or interesting: I won't think less of you for saying so but you've gotta prove it.

if you are nice to try to get sex (or for any ulterior, self serving purpose), but otherwise are not nice, you are not actually nice. many guys that behave like that think they are 'nice guys' though (that's generally what red pillers mean when they say they used to be nice guys).

Because if there is an observed trend of nice guys who complain about never getting laid actually being legit nice guys in every part of their life, that would lend credence to the idea that niceness alone is not sexually attractive, and men wouldn't be as easy to use.

You can identify as whatever you want. Nobody really knows if you're telling the truth though. Tell people you're gay. Tell people you're a millionaire. Tell people you're Chinese. All that AND "nice." Nobody will know for sure though.

Your comparison is perfect. Women would much rather that betas identify as women than as male, "nice" or otherwise. Remember, women basically see betas as other women (if they see them at all). There have been topics about this both on TRP and this sub, and I've heard women say these things personally as well. "He might as well have a vagina," and the like.

Women don't want you to be a "nice guy" because then they have to justify their rejection of you despite the fact that you probably have no truly serious flaws (or at least none more serious than the woman herself has) and are actually, in all likelihood, a very decent person. Cognitive dissonance, hamstering, etc. If you identify as a woman yourself that's no longer a problem.

Men who identify as "nice guys" (whether they are, or not) and demand to be given the benefit of the doubt by any woman they encounter? They're a carbon copy of women who demand special "hot" privileges based upon their own self-evaluation.

Maybe these guys are nice, maybe the women are actually hot. But the self-appointed privilege is obnoxious.

It's not that their not aloud but with the sub textual connotation why would you want to be?

When someone laments they are a "nice guy" they're really saying, "I went through the expected motions, why won't she sleep with me." It still feeds into the entitlement culture which is fucking awful.
