Nah, being a woman you'd have to live your life too carefully, at least in the context of how I care to live.

I'm living abroad right now and wouldn't choose to be a woman in a hundred lifetimes. Traveling alone, especially through the developing world, would be way too sketchy. Just being perceived to have money brings enough attention as is.

I'll pass on the mostly trivial benefits this subreddit always focuses on, e.g., being able to mouth off to men, having my dinner paid for, etc. There are some more substantial benefits, e.g., always getting the benefit of the doubt in domestic disputes, but those aren't really all that appealing either, at least not when compared to the benefits of being an able-bodied male.

Married women, on the other hand, had much higher odds, largely due to their spouse's incomes. They were 991 percent more likely than single women to be in the top 1 percent, compared to married men at 71 percent.

991% vs 71%. If you're a gold digger you have like 10 fold higher chance of making it big, than a man. If that's not a massive advantage then I don't know.

It's the hardest though for women that don't want to go gold digging, so theres that.

Yeah well the thing about gold digging is, it's basically mandatory to be pretty for it to work.

In the example, if I could choose to be reborn female with the normal chance to be pretty or ugly like everybody else, I would still do it, but if it's set in stone from the beginning that I would be an average girl, without any chance of winning the genetic lottery or having rich parents, then I'd pass, just so I don't have to deal with periods.

Being even an average girl is an undeniable advantage when it comes to how society treats you and so on, but I'm not sure I'd want to give up the advantages of a male body for it.

Lots of people commit acts of self harm that for the most part only directly affect themselves. However, there are almost always indirect effect that also affect other people around them.

As a society, we’ve decided that this is ‘bad thing’ and so we often make rules to prevent other people’s stupidity from negatively impacting us as a whole.

You’re comparing psychiatrists to women who panhandle? Psychiatrists help people develop coping mechanisms so that they aren’t resorting to those unhealthy behaviors and provide them with the necessary medication to fix those chemical imbalances that lead to those behaviors. There's an investment that was made to be a psychiatrist. Education cost. Licensing cost. The cost of renting an office. VS I was born with a vagina so give me money.

Personally I have no issue with a woman (or guy) that wants to beg or flirt in hopes of monetary gain. I feel bad for the guys (and women) that are duped into thinking they're about to get into a relationship. And I have nothing against the ones that know it's not going anywhere but want to have a few moments where they feel wanted or... whatever happens in those situations.
But I think the comparison of someone that has studied to provide a professional service to someone as opposed to someone that wants to use their gender to pray on the lonely is a stretch.

To me it depends. If someone thinks they are so low value compared to me that they need to entice me with money, that makes me inclined to believe their value judgment and decline to hang out with them. I did date a wealthy woman once who paid for everything because... Why not? And if she has ever said "hey let me give you $300 a week to spend keeping yourself pretty for me," I woulda been totally down with that, because I already like being with her and she likes being with me and she has plenty of money. I mean that's not the arrangement that we had, but I'm just giving an example of when it wouldn't bother me.

I'd totally sell nudes though if people would pay for them. I just don't wanna interact with lames. Not because I'm holier than thou, but because I already don't have enough hours in the day

Well yes. If someone already is an incel I’m not trying to sway them. They’re not going to listen to reason so there’s not much point. But maybe there’s people who don’t know what incels are or how easy it is for young guys (not exclusively young jay but it mostly is) to get caught up in a community like this. Where you’re going to be validated no matter what you say. So hopefully they maybe take a step back and realise they might not want to continue down this road.

In fact if people here aren’t incels why does everyone seem so intent on trying to prove to me how they’re not an incel. If you’re not one then just downvote and move on. Instead, everyone’s parroting the same shit over and over about how I’m apparently white knighting because for what ever reason I think it’s maybe not ok to dogpile on someone regardless of gender for what looks like a benign comment. Or how apparently o want to fuck her because people can’t possibly fathom I actually am not doing this out of self interest... I mean that’s a pretty fuckin toxic community that’s festering there. How can you look at the comments in this post and tell me they’re not at least borderline incels.

Also for the record I’m not just using incels as a buzz word or toxic. This literally is just an incel community. People here seem to thrive on having the chance to shit on random women. Let me break down a few of your steps.

The community itself is ppd, calling out women for double standards and behaviors that are normally gross and shunned by men. Should women not be held to those same standards, IE equals?
Also, I won't argue and say there aren't incels here, there are, but there's alot of even keel people on here like myself. Just raises eye brows to see people like you insulting people on this thread while wanting people to step back and be a good person like you?
People are parroting the same shit because saying a derogatory general statement about people here is insulting. It's like yelling "All Mexicans are criminals!" and getting mad when people call you out on being wrong/ignorant. Just telling them "well if you aren't a criminal than move on" doesn't just magically fix it.
I'm not sure, going by her tweet, just sounds like a tacky panhandler. And that's what I'm saying too, if you don't know her intent either, which means all we have to go off of is her word...
You're right. No one cares about guys begging for money on the internet and ignore them. Women more frequently beg for money on the internet and are celebrated and defended for it. Now why do you think that is? That's part of the reason why this community is created.

I personally care less if someone wants to beg strangers for money, but it is funny to see people to get called out on double standards.

1) yes you’re correct. That is indeed the intended purpose of this sub. However if you actually look at it. Namely this entire thread being exhibit A. People no longer care if the woman is actually abusing any sort of double standard. With this self contained image that is the post. We have absolutely no idea of the tone she was trying to convey. I’ve literally seen tweets like this by guys and everyone rightfully takes it as joke, the same as people could be doing with this post. It literally just looks like a deadpan delivery of a joke. Whether it’s funny or not is a different story.

2) I’m not trying to be a good person. I’m not setting out with the soul intention of some high and might moral goals to have people look at me in any way. What I do want, or hope anyway, is that people actually look at what this sub mostly is. Which is a safe haven for people to shit on women.

3) I literally just have no idea what this point is.

Not to just be a dick about it, but I think a lot of people come here with a loaded disposition against women so they attribute benign things to mean something different entirely.

In fact it’s usually just a normal reaction from people telling them to fuck off. But I would also assume if you’re getting that information from this sub then you need to factor in the biases. You’re obviously going to be getting content that will solely focus on that to make it look like it’s happening en masse. It’s much the same as when the media will use titles like “huge outrage over x” when in reality it’s like 5 people tweeting about it.

What I meant by point 3 is if you shout out general blanketing and insulting statements about a group of people, naturally people will get upset and call you out about it. Saying, "If you aren't that person than ignore what I'm saying" isn't a good answer.

And ahh, you're just here to expose people, I get it. And what better way to do that than insulting people and acting like a jerk as well right? Nothing will make people listen and hear you out more than insulting others and acting like an ass.

And dude, they have subs on Reddit that applaud and even teach women how to get the most free stuff out of men and how to play them. Kind of like incels, sure it's a minority, but don't say it doesn't happen.

In regard to point 3. I'm not generalizing a whole community here. I'm generalizing a large portion of the commenting community however. Since a majority of the comments all seem to be on the same wavelength it doesn't really seem a far stretch to also refer to them as a well defined term for the behavior they're exhibiting. I understand they get mad at it and that's fine. I don't really mind that and it's obviously expected since no one likes being called names.

Again, I'm not here to "Expose" people. those people already know what they are and I'm not reaching for anything that isn't apparent on the surface level. If someone shitting on a woman for essentially doing nothing other than the own narrative the commenter makes up in their head then "incel" seems like a pretty apt description. And I don't particularly know where I'm acting like a jerk. Obviously my initial comment was purposefully abrasive. But in normal conversation a normal human wouldn't attack it with the kind of replies I've gotten. Not that they're particularly hurtful in any way, It's mostly just people saying the same things over and over about how apparently I'm a white knight or that even though I'm defending her, that doesn't mean I'm going to be allowed to fuck her. Not sure why everyone seems so stuck on the fact that any interaction with or about a woman must mean I want to use her for sex? I dunno, kinda seems like more incel talk to me. Instead they can actually have a somewhat decent back and forth like we are doing but alas.

In reference to the subs applauding women for teaching this. Yes you're exactly right! And you explained why it isn't a problem in the same sentence. They're a fringe on society that the general public dislikes (Much like Incels) So it is happening there but to use that and act as if it's common place like you did in your original comment is disingenuous. It's like saying "Men continually shit on woman all the time and other men will literally applaud and defend them" When in reality it's a tiny subsection of the internet. You see? (Another example would be saying that men/women will commit a shit ton of theft and will literally be applauded and defended by other men/women" when in reality it's just them and their group of thief friends)

Obviously I understand your last send off is satirical but still. Once again that isn't my mission. Just hope some random person who got sucked up in to this woman hating whirlwind takes a step back and have a sanity check before it's too late. Correct! I am targeting mutliple people. The people who are that thing. I imagine they're probably too far gone and it is probably not the smartest thing to do but you know what it's like I'm sure. Why not poke fun when you can? You can say it isn't warranted. But I don't think I'm really compromising my morals to call incels incels. I can assure you I'm not being dramatic. I don't mind people complaining about double standards. I used to like the sub when it genuinely was about that. But this exact post is a great representation of the new direction the sub has taken that I don't really like. And the people actually calling people just on the fact they're getting away with double standards is fine, but they clearly aren't the people I'm targeting here. The people I am targeting are the people who literally just comment "Fucking skank" and that's it. I'm sure you can tell they're clearly not on the same wavelength as someone like yourself. And again, I never said those people will go on to commit heinous crimes. I said that in some extreme cases that can happen and it's obviously not ideal so I'd rather not further that kind of ideology that can lead to that.
