So I like to look good but I have never been in to putting in an hour to fix my hair and makeup every morning. I don't wear makeup but I try to dress well and I get my eyebrows done.

When I look at women who do that kind of thing I admire their appearance and effort but I also think that they're kind of enslaved to vanity. I don't want to be judemental, I understand that it's every person's choice to decide how they present themselves to the world but I wonder if others share my perspective, women spend hours on their appearance does it ever feel like a burden?

I feel grateful that I am free from feeling like I have to put effort into my appearance to be acceptable. I'm not Christian but it does make me think maybe there is some wisdom in vanity being a bad idea. Would love to hear thoughts from this community.
