We all know that in many instances, a larger age gap can be healthier for a marriage-for example: let's say a girl in her early-mid 20s is ready for a serious relationship that leads to marriage and a family. She is best off finding a man in his late twenties or in his 30s.

But when is an age gap TOO much? Is it primarily subjective (assuming that we are within reason)? Can an authentic connection, mutual respect, and trust overcome any concerns with an age gap?

I am 22 and I have fallen for a man who is about to turn 37 next month. He is everything I could want in a man (so far since it's only been a few months). He has no kids, etc and wants to settle down and start a family in the foreseeable future and obviously he isn't interested in playing games. My friends are concerned about the gap, but I'm not AT ALL.

Tl;dr— I'm 22 he's 36. I don't mind, but friends do. Advice ?
