I see a lot of guys in the comments around here who leap to the "Next" mentality by default. That's fine. Cutting your losses is sometimes the wisest strategy.

And sometimes, it's an excuse to run away like a little blue pill beta. When I hear a guy bragging about nexting a girl two questions immediately occur to me: 1) Why were you with her in the first place?, and 2) Why didn't you solve the problem before ditching her?

For the first, the answer is usually going to be ignorance. That's okay. You missed something, or maybe there was nothing there to miss, but she had a flaw that you weren't immediately aware of. Instead of telling me how quickly you gave her the boot, tell me what she taught you about the wrong sort of woman. How did she slip past my crazy-chick radar? What can I do better next time? Were my standards too low? Did I let a pretty face and high sex drive overcome my common sense?

The second is a question that's going to take a lot of digging to get an honest answer. Even the best of us will succumb to a bit of internal hamstering for a very simple reason. We're men. If a man doesn't want something in his life, he's expected to get rid of it. End of story. Society has never expected anything from us but results. She's gone and that's a result.

But...

Giving up is the most vile sort of weakness a man can fall prey too. Would any of you know Muhammad Ali's name if he'd only ever fought amateurs? No, of course not. You don't become famous for struggling with faceless enemies. You don't become strong by fighting weaker opponents.

Being a Red Pill man is all about mastery. Master yourself first, then master your surroundings. Whether it's women, money, the workplace, whatever. Sexual strategy is about being the best candidate available. How are you going to be the best if you give up when the fight's only half over? You won her attention but couldn't keep it and that's good enough because you got laid a few times?

To put this another way, a common metaphor on this sub relates to women as full-sized children. You deal with them like you would your kids and problems go away, right? Can you next a child? Your son just smashed his soccer ball through the patio door for the third time in five months, do you drop him off at the orphanage? You sure as hell don't. You get your hands dirty and find a way to teach him not to smash the fucking window.

If your girl is flirting with another man in front of you, that's a problem with her AND a problem with you. You haven't dominated her thoughts and eradicated that desire. Fix that shit then leave her a lovely, grieving alpha-widow. Otherwise, she'll be upset for a while and then she'll get over you.

Do you wanna be some guy she fucked a million years ago, or the guy she fantasizes about when her BB husband is whining because he can't get laid?

Here's a hint, only one of those is a Red Pill answer.

Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that there is a fine line between behaving like a quitter and making a calculated assessment of your own risk/investment vs reward. An exit strategy should not be your default reaction. If it is, you're not leading a life of challenge.
