Dude, trust me I get it. I have a 2.5 and 4.5 year old and currently they get up at 5:30, you have to entertain them and have activities all day and I fall into bed exhausted when I have them. They won't play with each other for longer than 15 minutes and I don't want them to be welded to a screen (because that's weak and lazy) so I engage constantly. And it's extremely trying at times.

Yes, for a few years life sucks. Then they become able to do cool activities and you get to be the one introducing them to new and amazing things. You will be the one who teaches him to throw a football, punch somebody and do all sorts of really cool things. Imagine taking your son out to help fix your car? Plus, nobody will ever adore you like your kids will. My kids call me King Daddy. Having a child isn't an end. It's a DELAY.

Manage what you can for yourself. Keep women as plates and one nighters and use that strategy. I have three women who also have kids who I can call up pretty much any time and get laid. I have no interest in a relationship because it's too time consuming and costs money. In terms of working out I bought kettlebells and do quick workouts in the basement when they are asleep. Tighten up your diet because you can't lift as much. I've taught my older time that when her sister naps on Sundays it's football time so I can do something I enjoy and she loves watching with me.

And for those of you who don't have kids THINK HARD about the commitment before you are ready. I wouldn't have had two kids looking back but it happened. It's a MASSIVE commitment and you need to be prepared financially, physically and emotionally.

Just trying to write this my two kids are crawling all over me before we go to get groceries at 7:30am. I get it. Right now it sucks horribly. But it will get better. And it makes you a better man in my opinion.

Alright man. You basically told my story except mine is a daughter at 8 years-old currently. I got two things to say to you.

First, yeah it's hard. Yeah it can really suck. I'm currently sitting here trying to get over being a little butthurt that my friends didn't invite me out last night because they don't know my custody schedule and generally just sort of default to assuming I have my daughter. But this victim mentality shit isn't getting you anywhere. Nobody cares; work harder. If you're black in America and life is tough being a minority--nobody cares; work harder. If you're a woman in a man's field--nobody cares; work harder. If you're a single parent.. you get the idea.

Second, the gym. I don't know what gym you go to, but I go to the YMCA. They have childcare facilities and lots of programs for kids. The deal I worked out with my daughter is on the weeks I have here, I go lift while she is in childcare and afterwards, we go swimming.

Beyond that, man, just find the joy. Sometimes you really gotta look for it. But it's there somewhere.

I had the exact same life path - except for a single lifechanging conversation that made me realize having kids is actually optional. At that time I was cohabitating and planning to marry. That ended that very night. Being childfree is an uncertain life path but ultimately light, free, and rewarding.

I don't know man. I plan on using a surrogate for my kids. Though that's at least a decade down the line. I'll build up a solid business then invest in property to give me the income I'll need to be a stay at home/work from home dad buying the best tutors and schooling I can for them, get them involved early in learning to run a business and setting them off while still controlling the outcome to make it hard enough to appreciate and easy enough to succeed at.

For the times I'm working they'll be in school/learning about how to get ahead in life. Any daughters I have will learn to be a homemaker and learn about nutrition, sewing, gardening, posture and other skills. If they fuck up to much I'll just disown them and remove the inheritance and kick them out(I hope though that might be tough depending on how much I love them).

If all I'm going to be is disappointed I see no reason to give effort to something that won't pay back and since I don't need to in order to have kids then to me the decision is easy :/.

What happened to you really sucks. It happens to too many of us.

Many readers in this sub will, at some point, decide they want a stable home where they can enjoy the blessings of their offspring.

Men if you decide you want kids the ONLY way to do this is a trad life. I mean, one provider, 2.5 kids (or more to keep her busy), two story house, two cars, church on Sunday, little league on Saturday. This is not for you. It’s for your family. To keep them busy, content, and stable. You can believe and do whatever you want in your own time. Being an alpha dad/MRP/whatever means always living a dual life. As others have said, it is TRP on hard mode. I personally love it but to each his own.

First, you must build yourself up to be the best man you can be. Fit, clear minded (strong frame), and with earning potential.

Second, you must find a woman who wants a trad life. This is challenging because many women are confused about how rewarding a trad life can be for them. The easiest way to think about is: she needs to be someone you’d be happy to wake up next to you in your tepee after birthing 2.5 kids, and she needs to be neurotic enough and submissive enough to manage your camp well when you’re away.

This, as this entire subreddit will attest, is the hard part.

Third, you must always maintain frame and be man of the house while attending to the sometimes emotional needs of your wife and children. MRP can explain this much better than I.

Fourth, you must put your woman and family in a tribe/community that will be a source of support, not detriment. This means finding Christianity, Mormonism (I hear good things about them), something like it, or an area full of trad families with strong social stigma against branch swinging. Without such a tribe or community your family is just a “band” (in the anthropological sense). One lone attacker can wipe out a band, but not a tribe.

Other men surely have done this better than me so let them chime in too.

Anyway, the version of child rearing we often see discussed here is either beta slavery, divorce rape, or something in between. Just know there are some of us that are doing this right and it is as challenging as it is rewarding. Being fit and slaying hoes is fun easy and not very fulfilling. Being MRP is hard, but fills my soul in a way I didn’t know was possible. It’s a personal choice and isn’t right for many men.

Having a child is the end to one type of life, and then you have to set about building another - and, sometimes, you have to set about showing your spouse what it is to build that new type of life. This does truly include some of the more common-sense redpill philosophies - not being afraid to lead, not getting run over by other people's expectations, protecting and managing your own well-being so you can protect and manage the well-being of others - but it doesn't involve belittling your spouse as 'first mate' or whatever it is. You partner with them (because you've chosen a someone who can be that partner) and you go about building the life you want that includes a happy and thriving spouse. Not someone who can come with you or get lost (i.e., leading through mild coercion), but someone who still actively wants to come along with you.

It's a fine distinction, and I hope you can fully understand it.

I have a son myself - as well as a great, highly-educated and lovely wife. She is on maternity leave right now. I build my career by waking up at 4am, working for 3 hours, then coming back home to be there when my son wakes up. I can be successful in both parts of my life, because I make sure that I am.

You can't blame a new mother - or father! - for falling prey to basic psychological effects like the egocentric bias. If anyone - man or woman - is operating on no sleep and high stress, they are more susceptible to your basic biases and mistakes, no matter who they are. Over time, repeatedly falling prey to these can change who they are. Many people do change for the worse because they don't realize this is happening. Many men watch their marriages fail because they don't recognize what is happening or why, and don't understand how to manage it. Instead of giving positive emotions to their wife and child, they accept negative emotions from them, and that gets passed around the family until things are irreparably damaged.

TL;DR You're wrong and this post smells of salt. Understanding and the ability to improve everyone around you so they want to be with you is the key skill you need to be learning. And, maybe, how to choose the right sort of woman to marry.

My wife is upstairs with our son right now, taking care of him and singing 'All by myself' because she wants me to help. And I will help - just not yet. There's a level of sacrifice and attention I think your child deserves that I know I wouldn't want to offer up right now so more power to you for not skipping out which is the easy move that all too many men have seemed to be ok with ( or had a heartless bitch of an ex actively try to dissuade / remove their ability to visit) .... sometimes both .

Good luck and while your kid should definitely be one of the higher priorities in your life , remember not to lose yourself . An utterly unhappy and miserable version of you will not make for a great childhood no matter how much money you make to support the kid. I think it's all about balance.

Interesting. I love being a father. My daughter is 9 and is one the funniest, coolest people I know. The marriage and the wife was a ridiculous social trap. Marriage is a cage, and I'm so glad I'm free. I have 50% custody where my daughter is with me every other week. So, every other week I live the bachelor lifestyle, and then the next week, I get to hang out with my kid. Being a father is great, in my opinion, but it does take money. I happen to be in position where I can pay alimony and child support, and still have a comfortable life. My gym has daycare, so when I go lift, I just take her with me. It's all about how you set your life up. Anyway, just another perspective here.

A decade later she had to see what else was out there for her and I never put up a fight. The difference is that I realized that I can always do better than her and that my kids will always be alright because I adopted a positive attitude from the start. I even moved to another state for a few years just to experience life on my own without the chaos of family. After 3 years on my own, I talked her into moving them to where I was. Posting pics of me hanging out with hot chics and her being jealous because her life was shit helped a lot ;). Anyways, my point is once you get past the anger stage, you'll start to think more clearly about your future and what you, as a man, are capable of. My kids now see me whenever they want, she remarried to a cool guy, and I spin plates. Life is better now for sure.

My wife works, kids with grandparents or daycare.

There are no GNOs. That was in fact one of the things I looked for when dating. Maybe casino night with her lil sis or baby shower. These things happen less than once a year and we've been together for 20.

The hours that I work are ones that I set based on a need that I see. My wife can can disagree but at the end it's my decision and I never let them interfere with my home life. I work to live, not the other way around.

Finally, being a father is an extremely rewarding experience. Seeing your kids grow, take their first steps, run toward you to give your a hug as you walk in the door. There are so many firsts, so many priceless memories.

So many sleepless nights (lol) though my wife had way more of those than I did. She's a trooper. She supported me while I was finishing college when our first was born. She can bitch with the best of them, but she's loyal and a solid first mate. Oh and she makes as much as I do.

So bitch, moan and live scared of life. Oooh, the boogie woman will take my kids and divorce rape me. Or you can properly vet your ltr and have your own slice of American dream.

All my life I was always told, and/or shown that a man should graduate college, start a career, get married and have children--in that order. I did exactly that, lemme tell you how it realistically plays out! You are starting that career, working your ass off, and you meet that girl who makes you feel all warm inside. She is the one(itis). You date for a few years, then decide to make it a legal contract to put up with her bullshit--lest she leave you and take all of your shit. Things go well for a while, then comes the big announcement: "I am pregnant!!!" Oh how the excitement begins! Friends, family, co-workers; everyone is so happy for you! It feels good! But, you are still pretty fresh into your career, so busting ass is the only thing you can do! Gotta rise through them ranks and get those dollars to support the two of them right? That is YOUR duty as a man right? Well, kinda! Because then the bitch starts complaining about how little time you spend with her and the new baby (you know, while she was off for 3 months of unpaid maternity leave and the bills still kept rolling in). So, you start to think, mayhaps she is right. I don't spend much time with the family, ill have to cut back on work a bit. Then everything will be much better! And it is better for at least one person--but not you my man! It frees her up to go out with her friends while you stay home and take care of the little angel YOU forced inside the cum dumpster. We should all be well aware of where this goes (reguardless of whether or not you chose to take more time from work for the family or not--ponder that if you don't see the unwinnable shit-test due to that legal contract you signed!!!) So, the bitch realizes that you are now beta bucks, without the bucks cuz, ya know, family time- and fucks the fun dude! This is the new civilized world man! Lifting, I make time for the gym. This is the one thing I will always find time for. But, you are a single dad working all day. Aint nobody at home to watch the kiddo while they sleep so you can get at the very least a half hour of lifting heavy shit. Men, all this is to say that it is a miserable existence to become a father. It truly is. I don't give a fuck what anybody else will say. This is the way it is. Sure, I love my son. I will do everything in my power to raise him into being a solid RP man. And there are moments of pure joy. But having a child is an END to your own life. You now live with the hope that one day, your kid will be able to live his own life in the way that he sees fit.

you can be successful in other ways sure. You can be famous or a historical figure but, to be successful is always a service to other people.

Having a child the best way to serve yourself. Plus, having kids has a huge payoff when youre retired. You might get grandkids. That's could make being old a decrepid a whole lot nicer.
