I'm catching a flight soon but figured I would make a quick post.

TRP is often criticised, in the usual incoherent fashion, as a philosophy / Weltanschauung which objectifies women. Yet this does not bear scrutiny.

The essence of the subjective-objective dichotomy is that subjects act, and objects are acted upon. Therefore, if TRP were actively objectifying women, it would treat them solely as beings to be acted upon, with no regard for their interiority. Yet, as we know, this is the opposite of how we see things.

For TRP recognizes that women are subjects, and have interiority which is different than ours. Rather than objectifying them as equal versions of ourselves and projecting a masculine mentality upon them, we instead seek an understanding of their thinking. "To catch a fish, one must think like a fish."

It is true that many of us use this to hook women like so many fish. Yet I, and likely many of us, have used this to enhance monogamous relationships with women we love. We realize that they are not merely hourglass-figured men. They are in fact subjects, with completely different mentalities that our own that must be understood and, in a sense, respected if we are to succeed with them, be it for a notch or for a healthy relationship.

  • Yes, males are superior in the sense that a greater part of our Civilization is our work. Women underpin the biological elements of our civilization, and this is a baser thing. However, to be pro or contra this is not my point. All I wish to emphasize is that the genders have obvious, biologically-mandated, God-given objectives. You may use logic to solve for objectives, but if you mistake a girl's objectives as identical to your own, logic will bring you down a false path. It is the greatest lie of modernity that we all want the same things, and that, given power, anyone will all be as altruistic as k-selected white males. [One may recall Mencius Moldbug's comment: "The Universalist view is that, since Universalism is universal, everyone in the world can and will become a Universalist."] Treating everyone as subjects, with nonidentical objectives, is the essence of realpolitik.

  • Ultimately, a girl's highest objective is to indeed submit herself to an alpha male. She is then, in a sense, an object. Yet until she finds this, she subjectively judges potential mates. A rejected beta male is more of an object than the rejecting female. This is all, of course, just us playing with grammar. But it offers insights into frame-swapping (be the chased, not the chaser, etc.) Roissy in D. C. nailed this when he named his blog (now Chateau Heartise) after the Story of O.
