"she's forgiven me" She has the nerve to "forgive" you? Hilarious

[–]CSThrowAway2014 13 points14 points15 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

yeah, pretty much. I couldn't even form a sentence for the next few minutes when I read what she messaged. What? How? But what does she mean? Forgive me...hmmm, but what the fuck did I do wrong?

[–]copralalic 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

As Beige Phillip says, "It's always the man's fault."

You "let your bitch get outta-pocket". That translates into: you let her emotions run out of her (or your) control. You failed some number of tests and she decided to settle for cash and prizes. If a marriage ends, it really is your fault because you didn't understand her nature and allow for it. If flawed men marry their mothers (seek undying devotion and dedication) then flawed women marry their fathers (seek a strong sense of guidance to temper their childlike behavior). Your ex is flawed, and you failed to be father enough to control her.

Either that or she is just batshit crazy, and why try to "make sense out of nonsense" if that is the case?

It's water under the bridge at this point. For the future, just remember to not get married, ever, and if I lose my MOTHERFUCKING mind, remind me to not to get married, either.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If a marriage ends, it really is your fault because you didn't understand her nature and allow for it.

I would disagree with that. Some women are unfit for marriage. Plain and simple. You could be Brad Pitt and some women will hamster up some "grass is greener" outlook on the relationship.

But yeah often times when a relationship's failing it is due to guys not putting their woman in their place. Sometimes it isn't even worth the fight though.

[–]copralalic 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True, crazy people are bad to partner with. Hopefully you kept both eyes open ahead of time and had a nice, long engagement so that her innner crazy could bubble to the surface. If not, well, you put yourself in a bad situation, which there's no point regretting, but you'll learn your lesson for next time. Been there, done that, wish I hadn't.

[–]HeadingRed 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I had a woman get pissed at me and trash some stuff in my house. A couple of weeks later (after she went to a shrink) she apologized and then waited for me to apologize as well. The shrink had told her I was partially to blame for letting her get that angry. Yes, the shrink was a woman but you already knew that.

[–]TheJessee 35 points35 points35 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

she's forgiven me and wants my forgiveness.

I can't be the only one who finds it absolutely hilarious that she's forgiven you?

[–]trphardmode 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She forgave him for not being attractive to her, because now he is attractive to her again.

Give this guy a gold ribbon, he gets it. Relationships can be lost on a single drop of frame.

haha, yup, that a pretty much what went through my mind. I think I might've shorted a few brain circuits too

record every phone conversation, keep every text/email, video/audio record personal meetings. you are at a crucial point in the divorce where they do the shadiest of shit in order to demonize/vilify you. be like a boulder, don't budge. let her go back to the cc and you start spinning plates, see who is happier then. hint: itll be you.

good luck.

I don't know. I've seen some peculiar down voting the last few days. When my own shit gets down voted, I assume it's because I'm still learning (or because I'm being silly). But some of the better contributors are getting the brigade too...

[–]JeffsRP 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This gets down voted because it's not true. OPs ex will find a beta once she's done with the CC. She will hamster away all the problems.

Nothing new to see. Move along.

[–]mrmeyhemn 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

<This gets down voted because it's not true. OPs ex will find a beta once she's done with the CC. She will hamster away all the problems.>

was my comment getting downvoted? whatever, its true.

what you say is true as well but it wont make OPs ex happy. she will ride the CC, she will find a beta provider, and she will be miserable with him. she may or may not take more rides on the CC after that.

if OP starts spinning plates he will get the sex he wants without all of the relationshit troubles of having a girlfriend/wife leeching his life energy until he is a corpse of a man.

I couldn't agree with you more.

She came over to my house in March to pick up her stuff with another friend. I had moved all her stuff to the garage, and I put up a GoPro with the entire view. The last thing I wanted was her trying to engage me in an argument and then calling cops or making up a silly excuse.

When she entered, she wanted me to stay in the garage while her and her friend picked up her stuff. I told her that I don't have to stay there (I knew she was going to engage me in some type of conversation or taunt me or just find an excuse to mess up with my head). She said I have to stay in case I call the cops and tell them that she took something that wasn't hers from the garage. I told her that I have a GoPro pointed directly on the ceiling and it's recording everything, her jaw dropped, she didn't say a word. Her friend had to hold her and tell her that they should still get the stuff (I had previously checked with my lawyer about using the camera and it was fine).

I also recorded our entire conversation on my phone and it came really handy 2 weeks later.

She sent a letter through her lawyer staying she felt threatened and I was disrespectful towards her, haha, what a joke. I told my lawyer and hers that I have the video AND the audio recording proving her friend and her were the only ones in the garage at 6 pm with open doors, I don't know why she would feel threatened, and based on the audio recording, she's the one being disrespectful). Long story short, I never heard form their one of them on this topic.

If I hadn't done this, I would've been spending my $$$ and time trying to fight these bogus allegations.

Allow me to rebutt- my wife got a dick rickty tick tick. No compunction. He has a great job, and a house. She is happier than ever.

I get laid and I feel like I've been scooped out on the inside. Fucked some tinderslut and it was terrible. She was a 'squirter' (but I think she just pissed on me), I dropped my wood (condoms and fucking on leg day).

When I came home from my wedding and fucked my wife before the honeymoon I felt like I was doing God's Work here on earth. Now I'm just going through the motions.

[–]overreactor22 points 11 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Be a good sport now, and let me criticize you:

  1. Your referred to her as your "wife" in your post. Not ex-wife, not former spouse. You used the word 'wife'. You clearly haven't made the transition that she's no longer yours, and you're still living in the past. You'll never be happy again if you continue down that road.

  2. How in the living hell do you know what your ex-wife is up to? How do you know she has been having some dick, houses or whatever? You cut contact to the barely minimum, ideally none at all, and so does she. It's over. Get a grip on things.

  3. You used the word tinderslut. Guess what, they are all sluts, tinder or no tinder. AWALT. They are just women, they serve you a purpose and thats it. You define that purpose yourself, but don't be all angsty about it.

  4. It does take time to readjust and get on with things. Focus on yourself. Not your ex, not the other sluts. Go do things that improve whatever aspect of your life, and soon enough all else will fall into place.

Best of luck.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I am all about being a good sport! this place have been a lot of help.

  1. As you'll see below, she was my wife when she started dicking. Going through my comment history you'll see a lot of future ex wife, STBX, etc. Your right and I see the point.

  2. At my insistence during the divorce she would come by after class and we would work out details of the divorce. So the lawyers had very little to hash out themselves. We would also fuck. She told me that sex with someone else would feel dirty, and be getting my rocks off every two weeks appealed to me. It was when the sex stopped, and she went angry and bitter that figured things out. This had been some of the best sex. She also was more affectionate during the divorce than any time during the courtship (@ Church doing our weekly change over). She mentioned that her BF things she has mad head skills. I'm going to agree. I remember when she sucked my dick like their was a house on the other end of it. I also recorded the conversations. So she did admit to striking me a couple of times and using my credit cards without authorization. My lawyer basically said you can finish today, or spend $10K on trail day and maybe 10K on briefs, depositions, scheduling conferences etc.

  3. I'm not going to go around and call them all sluts. Any more than I'm going to call all guys Studs, Chads, or he-sluts. This gals been on tinder a year and from what I've gathered has more partners in the last year than I had in my entire life, including her. For me N=6 @ 33 years. Half my life has been in LTRs.

  4. this is the hard part. I'm doing a great job or doing two weeks of grad work when my son is with his mother, so we have the most time together. But shit, I've lost 50lbs. I'm horny all the goddamn time. Guys talking about going in monk mode like their some caterpillar. Maybe their low T, or aren't getting attention. I get attention when I go out and talk to people, and I get plenty of answers back and dates on OKC and POF and Tinder. My online game is sloppy as hell, and it really is a waste of my time.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That window of emptiness is a perfectly normal, and transient, part of experiencing any loss. Key thing to bear in mind is that it's temporary.

Not much you can do except immerse yourself in the things that instill positive emotions for you. Try spending time with friends, engaging in hobbies, focusing on your children, etc. Ignore the women side of the equation for a while, that won't fix things any sooner.

[–]NidStyles 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Give it time. Do you have a confidence building activity that you actually enjoy as well? Lifting counts for both, but it is mandatory.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I lift every other day. When I have my son we go to the pool on rest day. When I don't I do HIIT sprints. Im a grad student, work part time. Church on Sunday (neutral ground change over), bible study on Weds. Summer semester is kinda a bummer, two of my classes are online so I'm starved of human interaction.

[–]NidStyles 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You need a confidence building activity. I personally stay away from churches as almost zero of them actually follow the Bible, and they all promote beta simping.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'm smart enough to know that most church goers don't pass muster. Church is a woman's social group first.

Jesus knows I can go on a rant about how dicked up Fireproof is. But, church is the neutral change over station we have selected.

[–]NidStyles 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you have the time to go over the original Greek texts, you will notice that the English and Latin versions say something completely different than the original Greek texts. I will eventually get around to retranslating it into English, but what I have done so far has completely warped my understanding of how wide spread the BP lie and the gynocentrists have gotten.

Romans 8:14 makes way more sense to me now.

Do you do any hunting or fishing? These are both great activities to involve kids with.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I fish. I take my son. I'm also teaching him to play chess. At 4 and a half it's not about winning or losing its about having fun.

[–]NidStyles 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, with you only being partially in the picture teaching him how to enjoy victory by example would be a good idea to cement a respectful perception of you as a masculine role model in his life. Only show him your positiveside and limit the darker thoughts and emotions around him. This will distort any manipulation his mother will try on him to weaken your bond with him. Never get upset with his mother in front of him and watch your non-verbal communications around him. Kids are are almost exclusively non-verbal in their communications due to lack of understanding and vocabulary.

[–]wanderer779 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

the thing to keep in mind is vows mean nothing to this woman. The guy is probably a fool and will end up in worse shape than you.

Also, your happiness shouldn't depend on other people being miserable. If she's happy, sad, in between, or dead, shouldn't matter to you.

We have free will and live in an infinite universe and you are crying about some slut. Not trying to insult you and I've been there too. It's a natural emotional reaction. But don't fool yourself into thinking it's actually the right way to look at it. A few years down the road none of this will matter and you'll be happier than ever, if you take the steps to get there.

One of the most important things I've learned about women is that their grip on me is all in my head. I can either choose to think about it, or do something else that is more fun.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My ex was worried about winning the day and the week. I've been worried about wining the years and the decades. So, yes. I realize a few years down the road I'll be far better.

Very likely my ex will be great to this guy, up until the point she realizes she can be terrible and the suck cost fallacy will get to him. If not, and she has learned her lesson then good. I'm sure things will be better for my son if she is in a good relationship as opposed to a bad one.

My brother believes all this grief is merely withdrawal from the hormones - if you've been on here a while you'll see a lot on how various hormones come into play during relationships and sex. It makes sense. Intellectually I know this is the right call. But its been a heart wrenching experience. I spent almost every day for the last 5 and half years frustrated, angry, stressed, or morose. When I was getting divorced before she moved out I was happy as fuck. But then, on my days where my son gone and I'm eating my oatmeal I just get a big sob..... and then I bury it and finish my oatmeal.

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points23 points 11 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

My Divorce was posted here a lil while ago. Yesterday the Judge got both our 'Nope Outs' on the record at the settlement hearing. So, long story short, I give her 24K from my 401k.

I have 20K in student loans that were basic me being maximum beta bucks. She knows that I used the student loans to get a lower interest rate and consolidate debt (medical bills and a home remodel that still has about 6K to finish). In exchange for her not taking any of my student loan debts she gave up any claim to any shared ownership in the house. We split my son 7-7 and the estimate is $7200 per year in child support. She doesn't want any spousal support (all independent and shit). i am actually saving about 5-6 hundred dollars a month because she was SOOO expensive to keep unhappy.

It was very neatly done. I filed 13 sept and the final paperwork is to be turned in Tuesday the 7th. It was like my heart was being ripped out my chest, but not through my wallet. 24K from my 401k is not bad, not bad at all. I could be loosing six figures from that in a couple of years, not even to mention what happens when I come into my parents legacies.

Part of this is that her public face was the most important thing to her. She is super reasonable when our issues are brought out into the light. Fucking terrible inside the home. Her lawyer was her Mom's Sorority Sister, there was a judge, all people that she respected more than her husband. I don't even feel bad about it anymore. I've seen so many dicked up things in TRP and in Deadbeadrooms that my only mistake was dicking BPD. But i got a great son out of it, so eh.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Think of it this way.

Nowhere to go but up. Cheers.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

this actually worked out fantastically. I spent the last 5 years of my 5 and a half year marriage trying to posture myself for this divorce. A couple of things didn't work out as planned, the biggest one being that I wanted to get my masters and use up my 401k (rolled into an IRA to save taxes), but other than the 24K this was perfect.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

i am actually saving about 5-6 hundred dollars a month because she was SOOO expensive to keep unhappy.

Yep. Incredible how much you save by not entertaining a cum dumpster all year long. That's why escorts with prices going down makes them very attractive.

Western women with decent looks have outpriced themselves.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm not sure I'll ever get with an escort. I've met some online. Their no so hot that I feel compelled to posses them, and I could use $150 (half hour rates) to buy some gourmet tea loose leaf tea, or buy a pack of rib-eye from Sam's club, once a week, for 5 weeks.

So, I guess what I'm saying, on the consumer comfort index, whores are less valuable than tea, or steak, or a host of other things. Whores are cheaper than wives, or girlfriends. But they are far more expensive than sluts, or college girls, or fapping to memories, imagination, or the internet.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you're a college student then no need for escorts, they are already on your campus for free. Even the "smart" college girls want some cock fun before college is over. The street smart girls find their husband in college thought.

[–]1independentmale 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

i am actually saving about 5-6 hundred dollars a month because she was SOOO expensive to keep unhappy.

I love how you phrased this. So much truth here. My ex was spending me out of house and home and it still wasn't enough to make her happy. I thought the child support would leave me broke and unable to make the house payments. Turns out, after all was added up, she was far more expensive when she was living with me. I now have plenty of money left over at the end of the month, more than I've ever had, in fact.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

this is evident. My buddy got divorced and his ex had to get two more part time jobs (on top of her full time job) to keep shopping the way she liked. But, its $600 cash now, which was less than I was paying her to be a SAHM (about $700-$800).

But I don't have to also pay for her insurances (two separate life policies, car, and health/vision/dental), we are splinting my sons insurance and out of pocket costs, her cellphone bill is now her problem. She is keeping netflix and my house is authorized so I can give my son something to do when I shower, or do homework.

[–]yizolo 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I looked at a budget and I will be saving more money paying child support after my divorce than I would supplicating my wife in marriage as I have been doing for the past 7 years.

I will pay no alimony due to infedelity (as per my lawyer's assurance) and I will have my daughter on weekends, which due to my job is all I see her most of the time now.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was in the same boat so I quit my 80k a year job to get my Masters full time and work part time

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points17 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When she said she forgives you, she was trying to make you feel like it was all your fault.

Fuck that. You will be better off without her.

If I could ask you anything, it would be,"How did it get to this point with her? Was there ever a Captain/First Mate dynamic?"

[–]AnotherLostCause 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Don't overlook the possiblity that she is trying to provoke you into doing something that will throw a monkey wrench in the divorce process. Only deal with her through your lawyer.

[–]Endorsed ContributorNiftyDolphin 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Aye, OP's offer of a buy-out makes her think that there are untapped resources to be had.

Her overtures are efforts at reconnoitering OP's situation. She's not looking for reconciliation.

[–]yizolo 12 points13 points14 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I am in the process of figuring out a divorce. I have learned from my lawyer that due to my wife's infedelity (she has a boyfriend that she has exposed our child to and we are still legally married) I can take full custody of our daughter. The judges where I live would absolutely hate the situation my wife has put us in. This is something that I have a hard time not telling her, but my lawyer has strongly advised me against it. It would also be a long, expensive legal battle.

She is convinced that I owe her something. She is moving into an apartment next month with no job and no chance of alimony according to my lawyer. She is in for a rude awakening. We are deciding to spit assets ourselves. We are still young and I just graduated a few months ago, so there isn't much to split. I figure if I can get in writing that the payment of her first month's rent is her share of our monetary assets (which is all she is asking me for) and nothing else, then I can agree with it.

As far as custody of our daughter goes I am going to have to have a clause stating that she cannot have a guy over that she is not married to while my daughter is there, and I would have no problem doing the same. Of course she doesn't agree with that, but she also doesn't realize how much leverage I have in this.

Anyhow, I need to hold frame. She doesn't get anything from me that isn't in writing first.

Good luck moving forward, I hope you get a clean break. It sounds like your position is a decent one to be in, all things considered of course.

Step-fathers are the #1 abusers and murderers, maybe use that stat.

Stay strong brother. Don't give an inch.

She forgives you for being a loyal husband or for not treating her and fucking her like a whore all these years?

Doesn't matter. You are getting free and it sounds like you've got no kids. Congrats!

You my friend, are not holding frame well enough, you need to do everything in your favour without letting your emotions get to it, yes you didn't cry or punch a wall, but you let your emotions dictate your actions. What you need to be doing, is getting this divorce in your favour, even if you have to extend an olive branch to this crazy bitch.

I would have tried to convince her that I was on board with getting back with her, but she needed an open relationship to 'find' herself, and that it was my fault(it sort of is your fault mate because AWALT, you need to deal with them as such) she felt this way in the marriage and that she needed the divorce, while constantly trying to get a fairer divorce, with the implication that 'she's the love of your life'(lol) and you'll get married again later when she's ready to settle down, she'll take the bait hook, line, and sinker. Then when it's done slowly get her out of your life.

It's not too late to do this either, you've just gone cold, so if you go hot, by just texting her something hot, you can salvage the situation, just go with ' damn you look sexy in heels' and if she asks what say you saw one of your old photos or something.

Just as a note, I'm recommending this to OP, because he is in deep financial turmoil, by chaining her to his foot.

Please tell us more: What does it mean by buying out, share out of house. Does that mean she wont get a single penny out of you?

[–]Jaghiro 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It does mean: He has to buy her half of the house (Pay her) even she didn't paid one single penny for the house yet.

[–]1independentmale 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Say you have a $500k home. You owe $300k, so there's $200k in equity. Now you split up.

That $200k belongs equally to both husband and wife. If you want to keep the house, you will have to pay her the $100k she's entitled to. This is "buying her out." You're buying her share of the house from her. Most people can't afford to do this, so divorce usually forces the sale of the home and each partner walks with their share.

Correct as /u/Jaghiro mentioned below. She didn't contribute anything towards the downpayment or the monthly upkeep. However, legally, my house being now considered a matrimonial home, she was entitled to half.

Normally couples have to sell the house to be able to pay half (or a huge chunk of money), but I'm fortunate enough to have a decent job and some personal savings that helped me pay her share of the house without having to sell the house.

You should get a fucking refund for all the money wasted on her.

This whole idea that men owe their wives everything while they are married and then owe her half plus alimony when they divorce is fucking retarded, and generating incredible amounts of female entitlement.

Hence why NEVER get married. EVER. NOT EVER. No if's or but's just DON'T GET MARRIED.

[–]1kick6 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

she's taking some type of a self help course,

Ah, therapy. What are the odds that she's going to come to the conclusion that it's not her fault but yours?

she's forgiven me

Yup, there it is.

OP - question - why did you choose not to sell?

House prices are due for a correction - sell the house and rent to wait it out and then buy back in when cash is king. Right now, you are buying the other half of the house when its at its highest possible price point?

I'm canadian as well - and the housing market is definitely not stable. The economist, IMF, every financial organization outside of canada says that there is a massive housing bubble in the country.

Even more to the point, the US has patently told the canadians that they will raise interest rates, and that they should be careful.

She has forgiven you. Typical.
