Sometimes I still struggle to accept how accurate RP is, how predictable women are, how uncommon common sense has become, while the western civilization slowly deteriorates.

Had another entertaining interaction with one of my plates about going on a long weekend trip with a bunch of guys as a girl, and it reminded me of Uncle Vaz's post about 'Laying down the Law' some months ago and why parameters are important & need to be specified.

The travel party in question consists out of 5 guys & 2 girls (all of whom I know casually & 1 being one of my best friends).

Apparently, my friend told the other girl some time ago that it's a red flag for a girl to go on such a trip (misogynist asshole). Of course, she vehemently disagreed and told my plate who's girl #2 in this travel party and wanted my opinion.

Now, I already had the LTR talk with this girl & dodged that shit like Neo, as I knew she's no LTR material (this being another confirmation).

These girls had absolutely no concept of why a guy would find it a red flag for a woman to go on a trip with (a majority of) guys.

"Do they not trust me?" "That's their insecurity talking" "They're just my friends".

So I gave Tate's analogy about trusting that your Ferrari has a good lock & alarm, but it still not being a good idea to park it in a Ghetto somewhere. An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure and all that.

Girls never have a good comeback against this analogy, so I moved on to giving a mirrored example.

I asked her what she would think if I went on a long weekend trip with 3 female friends. According to her, she would indeed feel quite uncomfortable, but that's her own insecurity talking and therefore would allow me to go and not have any conversation about it. (I'd bet my left nut that if this went from thought experiment to real-life, it would not go down like that, btw).

The mental hoops these women will try jumping through to rationalize their own beliefs and subsequent behaviours is so entertaining. I do think it's very harmful to their dating prospects, though, but then again, I'm not their father.

Another thought that occurred to me, at that moment, is that the only men who wouldn't set/enforce boundaries are men who are either so desperate/BP that they think setting boundaries would make her leave them/think they are insecure, or a guy who is fugging around a tonne on the side and setting/enforcing boundaries would be too much of a hassle. So either she will date losers (she won't) or BPers without backbone (she won't as long as she can get Alpha dick), or guys who just string her along (such as yours truly).

At one point, she asked me to explain why it's unacceptable behaviour for a woman in a relationship (or a red flag in general) to go on a long weekend trip with a bunch of guys. And I thought about it for some time and replied that if she doesn't get it intuitively, there's not much I could say to make her understand it.

A lot of women are so obnoxiously obstinate these days that they view any attempt to influence their behaviour is seen as a restriction of their freedom & autonomy, and therefore controlling.

I don't even think they grasp that a relationship, by definition, constrains one's freedom by setting certain boundaries for acceptable behaviour. Nobody has ever gotten more freedom by entering a relationship. That obviously doesn't mean there are no benefits, though.
