Honestly - the sheer magnitude of the lie is amazing. It seems like every single person I know gave me the wrong advice.

Following "the rules" has proven very effective for me in all other aspects of my life. I have a great job, a great family, great friends. What the heck was happening with my romantic life? Why was my wife, who I treated so nicely, not sleeping with me? I went to therapy - and my therapist taught me to communicate more. Super BP thinking, which resulted in nothing.

Post divorce, I knew something was wrong, so I chose not to be in a relationship. Like Neo just having that uneasy feeling that something just isn't right. For years multiple girls chased me, begged me, fell in love with me, as I simply thought "this is weird" and wouldn't commit. Picked one girl I liked, went BP hard as fuck, and then got predicatably betrayed.

Now I start the weaning process all over again, and my skills are rusty because I stayed monogamous. Mentally monogamous too (cutting off all the girls what would snap me, sext me, etc)

Ugh. It makes me so mad. I'm 34. This whole thing is a lie? Ridiculous. I'm so jealous of the guys learning this younger. But - it occurs to me - I could've learned it later after a 2nd divorce.

What pisses me off is the idea that girls somehow "know" this too. And they just aren't overtly telling us.

Dammit.
