I lived in LA for 3 years, I know this girl very well. It's like getting into the NBA - if you are genetically talented, work really hard, and get a little lucky, you can move to the city and basically work the hypergamy hard, enjoying a nice lifestyle provided to you and getting your alpha fucks. Maybe 2-3% of the girls will actually land their wealthy dude that wants to support them.

The rest just sort of loiter around, going nowhere, but spending their miniscule paychecks on living way too close to the expensive posh district, new clothes, and various props to APPEAR to be living the lifestyle that the former 2-3% are living. It creates a reality distortion field that is hilarious and tragic at the same time. Because all these hoes chasing the city dream are such great actors and so committed to maintaining the public image of having the perfect life, all these other young girls look around and think "oh... it's real! I can do that too!"

And what they don't realize is that the girls who succeed at this hustle - let's say a pretty girl who moves to LA, meets a rich guy, sucks some producer dick in a nightclub and gets in a movie, etc... she is STILL FUCKED when she turns 30. Despite the payout, despite the divorce money, she has gotten addicted to an unsustainable lifestyle. All these instagram hoes - the successful ones who do get very high value guys - were balls deep into coke, molly, dexedrine / adderall (they have no mental issue, they just cannot sit and do their basic HR / sales job without a stimulant / focus enhancer, it's just too boring for them), and of course alcohol. My good friend rushed to get married to snap up a girl who was jaw-droppingly hot, and by 30 she looks like she is 45, no joke, and has a pretty expensive painkiller habit. (These city girls and painkillers / opiates is a whole different story, my god).

Now imagine these girls, except they aren't really hot and in lululemons during the day and miniskirts at night like in LA. They are fat, manly, marked up by pretentious tattoos, and have an aversion to proper grooming / make-up. Their sense of ego is massively inflated because there's an abundance of men and most of them are white knights. Now you have Toronto.

Yeah - toronto is legendary for the frigidity of its women - I live there and can definitely attest to how hard it is there vs places such as New york (which was like shooting fish in a barrel). Best thing you can do is just dont invest in relationships at all, next them for the slightest infraction, and spin plates big time.

Ultimately, most men leave the city as evidenced by the census....

I went to a college that was full of these types of girls. One time I was at a school event and this small-town suburbanite girl was talking about her amateur-quality illustrations. I realized she was talking a lot so I decided to time how long she could talk to me about herself without actually stopping to ask me any questions.

She went on for over fifteen minutes talking about herself, her plans, her background, and how successful she planned on being. I just stood there nodding with a half-smile on my face.

After the conversation ran its course she left to go find her next victim. Later that night I caught her repeating the same information to someone else.

I actually grew up in the city and can spot these girls from having a casual conversation. For them, being in a big city for college is some magical adventure their parents are paying for, a drama where they're the star.

For us city-folk, going to college is just a commute. The difference in attitude between a girl obviously raised nearby and one who was living out an all-expenses paid college vacation, it was like they were different species.

Surprisingly, girls (and guys) who were studying abroad were WAY more humble, interesting and down to earth than any of the small-town american girls. And I mean girls from Europe, Asia, South America, etc. All over.

THIS IS SPOT ON. As someone born and raised in a wealthy area of NY where almost every girl from my hometown now lives in NYC on a salary of 45k or less.. its fucking golden. Girls I know who got hired purely for their attractiveness to good companies are among the worst offenders, constantly hamstering away for prince charming while giving it up to some of the most sociopathic business guys one earth. Our generation is so fucked by the media.

A lot of this stuff is to heavy handed and assumes too much for it to be true. HOWEVER, the general sentimentality is pretty true. One observation I have had about growing up just outside of New York city is that, well there are no girls above 5 on the outside of the city. Unless its a strip club, your odds of seeing any girl above a 5 is low as hell.

The city vacuums up all of the girls! Its fucking true! I dont know exactly why, I dont know all of the details to what causes this but I will say it right now. Its too hard not to see this even to this day. Women actually out number men in New York city. One night hanging out there and you will see more women then men most of the time. Pretty, ugly, smart, stupid. The whole fucking range. Right on the outskirts of the city? Nothing, not a girl above 5. Not even a decent night club scene either, because night clubs need women to survive.

So I dont agree with everything the Op has to say to be true about every girl but holy shit its hard not to see the city vacuum effect.
