When I hear about how this woman or that woman was in a 'toxic' relationship my first thought is usually "Was it toxic during the relationship or afterwards?" Perhaps I'm jaded, but I've just heard too many tales about Mr. Perfect suddenly being characterized as Mr. Hyde after the breakup. Shit, been there myself a time or... well, never mind.

My first clue as to where, if any, toxicity was in this relationship was her mentioning that the guy supposedly choked her in the same virtual breath as his wicked visit to a strip joint. These two activities are not on the same level Cupcake. Your outrage over the second makes me doubt the accuracy of the first claim.

In short, a woman's view of a relationship often changes once she's been handed the keys to the street.

This post is a great example of the "damaged goods" flair as explained here. Worse than a run-of-the-mill alpha widow, as another even "better" or more exciting alpha can get her going, one who is damaged goods tends to crave the drama and abuse, even if she consciously knows she shouldn't. A non-abusive alpha or Chad won't even be enough for her, long-term.

I had a thought about this (yeah, I know, hear me out) in that women who can't get past "the tinglies" are driven by the concept of entitlement.

Consider that most men don't get to bang supermodels their whole lives. I see tons of grandmas married to some guy who certainly would prefer a teeny bopper but he finds a way to "get it on" with her. Men can simply close their eyes "think of England", so to speak, and find a way to get the job done. Here's an analogy: I've flown business class, and it's great. Afterwards, economy seems awful by comparison but I "get the job done". I'm able to find a way to enjoy it. I don't get caviar and champagne every day, but that's ok. The majority of humanity somehow manages to survive not living as princes.

It's staggering that there's an entire generation, or two (or even three) of women who simply cannot figure out how to deal with NORMALITY. Who are sort of like The Princess and the Pea story of someone who can't sleep on a rack of mattresses with the slightest imperfection or sort of like Bubble Boys who would die if exposed to a single germ.

This can't be normal because humanity would have gone extinct otherwise (and certainly Western Liberal Civilization is going that route) so it's my conjecture it's due to the notion of women having choices similar to me giving my 5 year old girl the keys to the car, liquor and gun cabinet. Heck, even I need some external discipline to get things done such as a schedule at work of things I need to do. Absolute freedom is difficult for most to handle.
