Men don't want a "submissive women" so they can just do whatever they want. They want a woman who isn't constantly trying to prevent them from running a successful family.

Imagine trying to run a company, but all the employees think they are the boss as well. So when you are trying to make decisions and organise the day-to-day stuff they come and tell you that they want to tell you how to run the company and you have to run everything by them and do what they want. It wouldn't work out. The company would fail or it would make your life impossibly stressful and unpleasant.
