This is asktrp, you're going to get red pill advice. If someone wants advice from different perspectives, they should go and ask there. Because the answers you get here are generally controversial, it isn't a place that can allow them to be diluted down or our stuff will be lost in a sea of blue pill / incel nonsense, solely here to drown out our voices. You won't get the stark truth from many places, so this place - while occasionally harsh - is a gem for men around the world, if they can stomach it.

Your question has a major misunderstanding in it about the nature of trp. The fundamental human truths that we are trying to understand (and utilize) here aren't affected by changing social dynamics, because they are innate to humanity. They haven't changed in millennia, nor will they in millennia to come. You can definitely build on the truths we are establishing here, but nobody can change them (as much as they might wish otherwise). So, I guarantee a legitimate challenge on something in the sidebar would be accepted (by the guys who matter, anyway). After all, this place is about seeking the truth behind male - female interactions, so challenges to established ideas, additional insight and informed discussion is welcomed and encouraged. The caveat is that it needs to be legitimate, in good faith and on topic.

The sidebar isn't really a strict set of rules, rather it is mostly examples and theories. I see it as a form of shock therapy, to try to get guys to think about reality and unplug from the blue pill thought process that they have followed all their life. It encourages you to think critically about things you have likely held dear through your entire life, so you'd be mad to not think critically about it first. I don't think generally cults survive encouraging their members to a) think critically, b) buck the trend, c) excel at life (outside of the cult) so I'm not particularly concerned about being brainwashed.

With regards to opposing viewpoints, I think it's obvious when someone is approaching from a blue pill way of thinking, because their argument will be about behaviors to meet our current societal rules and norms, which is completely missing the point of this place. I don't generally think there is a lot of room for argument on what is and isn't true either - we know a lot of this stuff instinctively when we've jettisoned the blue pill mindset, if not the exact reasons why men/women act certain ways, at least what the consequences of certain behaviors are. So it isn't really plausible to debate positions that are wildly different - they can't really get off the ground here, because it's immediately obvious that it is some theoretical, idealized bs, usually trying to guilt trip us into certain behaviors. Why bother debating it? Point the submitter towards the sidebar and try to get them to unplug. They are welcome to discuss red pill ideas, but not to push their own from an uninformed perspective. If they aren't willing to accept that this is what this space is for, ban. No regrets.

This is why opposing views are condemned, as they are genuinely off topic and wasting our time. You aren't really learning anything - it's an attempt to brainwash / guilt trip you. We're not interested in hearing theories designed to benefit other subsections of society, we're looking for a) ideas on the nature of male / female interactions that feel correct / mesh with observations and b ) sexual strategies that work for men.

Finally, the reason to reframe things in a redpill lens is because it's generally a lower, more primal level of understanding, and more fundamentally true. Breaking it down into red pill gives you actionable life advice, which is generally applicable and useful in more circumstances than any specific advice that would be framed in the narrow context of the situation that actually happened.

I'm in my 30s, I too went through college and I've read 1000 books, I have a wife and kid, and my wife has many girlfriends. I have life experience as many guys here do. Guess what? Every single one of my wife's friends (and my wife, who wanted me to do a dance like MM for her) adores Magic Mike. I've seen the Facebook conversations, they all want hot guys (or even just hot guys attention), have disdain for their beta husbands, some have cheated or contemplated cheating, none of them hold each other accountable for bad decisions that could affect their families/kids, instead, they encourage each other. I've never seen them talk about anything other than their feelings. So, until you start seeing a ton of beta fucks and alpha bucks then I recommend you to stop caring about confirmation bias and critical thinking applied toward sexual social dynamics. Until you start seeing betas getting laid left and right via Tinder, who gives a fuck how critically you analyze hypergamy, or even lifting?

The point of redpill is to awaken nice guys, church guys, white knights, etc, to the fact that women are not inherently good people and are capable of destroying lives. This may seem weird, but there are a lot of guys who can't ever picture their girlfriend/mom/sister having a dirty mind and the will and desire to throw everything away in pursuit of those desires. This same kid eventually went to juvenile detention for raping toddlers. This kid, who raped toddlers and was convicted, got a slap on the wrist, he's been out for years, and from what I saw of his facebook, you know he's absolutely swimming in pussy, or possibly dick, he may be gay now looking at his facebook just now. This guy, who is a stain on society and civilization, is loved and adored by women, and has been since before his balls dropped.) Sort of yes, sort of no. I feel like I can be critical of TRP without people immediately lunging at my throat. I've gone against the essays of 'endorsed' contributors here on Reddit and found a surprising amount of support in my criticisms.

On the flip side there are also plenty of regulars who will chant the same shit over and over again without a second thought.

Overall I wouldn't say TRP is an echo chamber, certainly not to the same extent as the blue end of the spectrum, but people can certainly be stuck in their ways for better or for worse.

End of the day critical thinking is healthy. So never stop that, and never stop asking critical questions.

It seems so. I used to frequent this sub and give advice to lots of younger guys, yet I'd get downvoted if I wasn't funny in what I said, or I'd give advice that wasn't "go to the gym and get ripped, have plates, fuck as many girls as you can, ect."

After a while I just gave up. I'll still visit here every once in a while, but most of the time someone comes for actual advice, I'd get drowned out by the dummies who take TRP to the extreme, and it's bad advice most of the time.

We’re not an echo chamber. This subreddit and the main one is full of trial, error, trial, error, then mastery. We also aren’t putting our ideas up for debate, it’s a take it or leave it kind of thing. Most people tend to take it because what they see here has been witnessed in their own lives an interactions. An inconvenient truth is being sold here and the ways to confront that truth.

Reddit itself is, by its very nature thanks to the karma system, an echo chamber. But in all honesty, I think we try more than most to be realistic about our expectations from life and from our personal interactions by actively trying to identify and eliminate popular delusions from our lives. I think that's what keeps a lot of red pilled men out of trouble. Echo chamber or not, what we're doing has been highly successful at giving our fellow men the tools they need to live happier, more productive lives.

It’s true that some people will shutdown or shit on you for alternative viewpoints that they consider immutable... but if you read quality posts or the recommended reading in the wide bar, I’d say that’s all very keenly and clearly presented with fact based information... and if not facts, (because human psychology is of course often impossible to get clear answers) then the age old “watch what they do, not what they say” seems to work pretty well when forming a hypothesis

The problem is always not seeing the full picture. He only knows his circumstance as I only know mine. The internal workings vs what's actually said vary greatly. I’ve been reading RP since ‘14 I think. I believe in everything here, written in the sidebar “bible” . It’s a positive masculine environment. One of the few sanctuaries for men to discuss sexual strategy. You do the shit that your mom and your aunt tell you to do thinking some girl will love you indiscriminately. I’ve been separated from my father since I can remember; and have been surrounded primarily by female influences. Men need men, not just for sexual advice...Life, I’m thankful for TRP. Some of you are cunts though, but some of you are also cunts with solid advice. recently I’ve stopped coming to the ATRP forums because I do feel like some shitty and contradictory advice has been floating around. The danger of the SJW movement is that they clad themselves in the robes of science and rationality while actually being a purely political movement. Some time ago I posted in the main sub an "controversial" post because I used the word "love".
First few people liked my post and the discussion started.
10 minutes later the post was banned.

Don't get me wrong. RP truths are still true.
But yeah... there's no further development and new ideas are being rejected.

I guess humans just love dogma.
