Compared to you, I'm fresh-off-the-boat new to TRP, and I know exactly what you mean. A lot of us paid some pretty hefty prices to realize TRP exists, with divorces and other bullshit. Hell, I had to move across the country to the sphincter of America, get with a basketcase who ended up deciding she was a F2M tranny, and having to come to terms with the fact that I let myself waste the best years of my life for that to realize there is an underlying truth. When I see posts by little Johnny Highschooler distraught over the breakup of his month long relationship with the love of his life, I end up closing my browser and I go hate lift for awhile.

And then there are the "I know 'don't shit where you eat', but..." posts. Don't even get me started.

It’s one thing to act like having high SMV and another to actually possess high SMV. Acting can only take you so far. Isn’t that why shit tests exist. If a person isn’t working on actually improving themselves then they are doing themselves a disservice. In the long run they will begin to struggle with the fact that they weren’t shit to begin with. I say just let it be. The strong will survive.

At some point we will have written a post on every subject that matters. Sure there will be variation, rewriting and updating of concepts, but the core concept will remain as it is.

TRP in itself hasn't been a recent invention. It is basically a modern day collection of knowledge passed on between men. Even if there are more shitty posts, who cares? Sort by top/all time and read away + the sidebar.

I do agree the quality has been down A Lot. I came in mid 2015 and that seemed to be a really good year. With that being said there will eventually come a time where you have learned a lot and constantly getting real life experience is where you really put the Red pill lessons to the test. I'm grateful for all the reads and still come here occasionally but now that I have a solid frame and SMV I just come for some brief information and head out.

I think TRP is mostly fine due to the strict moderation, but holy hell, /r/asktrp can be a shithole at times. It's hard to find a thread without at least one obvious beta, white knight or /r/relationships -grade advice in general.

And what's worse, those comments are often upvoted.

You wanna know the issue? It's the people who M0derate this sub. 100%. I've followed this sub for the last 5 years and in the last 6 months, I've seen no less than 3 threads that resulted in mass bannings of users that disagreed with mods. It's fucking nonsense. And that's just what i've witnessed at an infrequent user of reddit. I can only imagine the shit that goes down when I don't for 4-6 days.

tbh given what i've seen, I imagine this comment will only last for a short time before the mods ban my account so if you see this, good luck

This thread reminds me of one old explanation on why men often chase off other males from their safe areas, hunting grounds or resources, as it lowers their own chances of being sucessful. Would you be bothered if more men became aware? Would that mean a negative outcome for the knowledge gathered here, in your opinion? Would you claim TRP ruined directly because it became popular, so its own sucess is a self-fulfilled death prophecy?

When a coveted and rare tool becomes available for everybody, it stops being those things, because it no longer means a boost to you, but a requirement for everybody, like education on the 1st world. Those at the mercy of the tool previously will develop means to counter or compete against it, as they become aware of it too.

Also, as you expose a broader sample to a catalyst, a wider bell curve of results are observed, results that were uncommon or inferior, previously, can become the standard or the average ones.

Maybe, are these the things bothering you?

Unpopular opinion from what I'm seeing but this kid is bettering himself and sharing his experiences and how he got it done for HIS age. I would kill to have had TRP at his age I was only introduced at 24

It might have been a shit post for you because you are well past that but for people in his situation or similar ones i feel this is gold but it is all RELATIVE. sure absolutely none of it applied to me or my situation in any way but he was in an awful spot and bettered himself and is passing on what he has learn to others so they can do the same. Is that not exactly what TRP is about?

Maybe tagging your target audience / age group would make this better? Or simply don't read what doesn't apply to you? Idk just throwing ideas out there

There is no one way to apply TRP. It's a toolkit and you apply the tools whenever you feel fit. And you will fail and learn to use the tools better the next time. This happens to me constantly.

Field reports are plain stupidity and no better than posting shit on social media. The only reason people post field reports is for validation.

Vexing about the state of an online community is a waste of time. TRP is not and has never been about protecting a community or creating a specific online environment.

People who care enough to read will be fine. The lazy kids who stay long enough to parrot will try to post and fail. It all settles out in the end.

I knew this would happen the moment underage 4chan started using "based and redpilled" meme when talking about video games. If TRP is like a salad bar and filtering the good from the bad requires critical thinking, they do not have it yet and they only take everything as truth just because it's there. I started reading TRP in 2013 and 5 years later, my life is completely changed. TRP knowledge mainly helped my fix my inability to have a solid relationship with women.. other parts helped me understand the importance of frame in social situations and business. All said, I took the mindset I needed from TRP and it's helped me.

I don't really read TRP anymore though. I got what I needed when I needed it. Now it's a giant circle jerk where dudes post the same stories, using the same TRP-speak for karma. Bunch of people are trying to monetize it, and now it's just a whole.. thing.

TRP peaked years ago. Now it should just be a reference for younger men in need of the knowledge.

The growth of the subreddit accelerates and introduces new members, more 'plugged in' opinions are shared and upvoted. It was always going to happen.

However, if someone can't swallow the pill and take off the training wheels after reading the sidebar, some of Rollo's blog posts, some of IM's blog posts or Pook's stuff then there's no hope for them. There's ample information in the 'sphere to get anyone to grow a set of balls and stand or their own two feet, figuratively speaking. Anyone who wants spoon fed or the same info regurgitated again and again is rationalising not going out and applying this shit.

I'm not on a high horse here, I've wasted two years bullshitting myself about actually applying what we say here, trying to absorb all the information when there was more than enough available - even without going into EC stuff - and I'm slowly realising I've been dicking myself about. Hurray. So don't do what I did everyone.

It's very hard to post anything new and worth reading, when all has been said 20 times or more. Red Pill principles do not change quickly.

It's a natural thing to happen.

In the end it's the moderators decisions if articles do not match quality standards or fail the topic.

Should you be surprised that TRP has lots and lots of new members? No, you shouldnt. More people, more access to internet, more members. Even if 0,0000000001% of users find reddit and then find TRP.

Should you be surprised that most of that are kids? No, kids these days have access to web since day 0. First generation in human history. They will one way or another find their way here.

Should you be surprised that their posts are pure shit? No, they are kids.

We shouldnt prevent new members from joining in, but have more active mods and find a way for this community to evolve in this circumstance.

every once in a while the mods do a purge and ban posting for a week or two, this usually cleans out the trash posts and allows for quality posts. . .for a time.

I've been here for 6 months now and I used to make those stupid posts in the beginning, I EVEN REPLIED TO SOME (cringe). In the first 4-5 months I used to read lots of posts on r/TheRedPill. Conclusion? I got so confused about how to handle life and woman, that I just started reading books. I don't want to be in constant confusion about how to handle life and women.

15M I'm just here looking for self-improvement, trying to be confident, trying to not play a character and make more friends. So is discovering TRP now so bad ? I am not even looking for sex. If it comes, it comes and if not I don't care. I read your comment about your experience too and I can say that I'm also proud of my oneitis and some conflicts that happened with my friends 1 year ago. They made me realize things and view life from a different perspective but when I discovered TRP I dived into the why of many events in my life and knew how to solve them. Isn't this good ? I'm a very infrequent user of this sub, but I have a BRILLIANT idea that I hope to see implemented: Make it mandatory for the subscribers of this sub to reveal their age before they're allowed to post/comment, and use a bot or some reddit feature to show their age right beside their username.

That way you'll be able to very easily discern what posts are worth reading and what posts are shitposts written by inexperienced delusional high school kids.

Not saying all kids are stupid and delusional, but they're statistically more likely to be delusional and defecate low-quality posts than us older (20+) guys are.
