Hey all,

I’m a 35-year-old Indian guy, and to be honest, I’m not the most attractive guy out there—especially after gaining 15 pounds from the stress of my recent separation. I run my own consulting firm with about 10 employees, so I’m fairly successful, but I’ve never been one to dress to impress (though I know I probably should).

Game(mostly day with cold approach) has been really tough lately. It feels like I’m not seeing the same results I used to get when I was younger, even though I’ve still got a lot going for me. I’ve been getting phone numbers that don’t go anywhere or going on dates that just don’t work out.

For instance, I recently had a great date where we cuddled in the park, and I went in for a kiss. She told me she doesn’t kiss on the first date, but I gave her a quick peck anyway. Later, she texted me saying I didn’t respect her boundaries and that she doesn’t want to see me again.

Another time, I met a 40-year-old who works crazy hours. We held hands and walked, and I was upfront that I wasn’t looking for anything serious, just something casual. After that, she started responding less and eventually told me she’s too busy and would reach out when she has time.

I miss the success I used to have in dating when I was younger, even when I didn’t have much to show off. How can I regain that confidence and get back out there, whether it’s with younger women or those who are more mature?

I know I’ll get recommendations to be the best version of myself—lose weight, dress better, maybe even get a nicer car (I used to drive a BMW X7 but recently downgraded to a Tesla). I’ll definitely work on those things eventually, but what I really need right now is to rebuild my confidence by getting back in the game.

Any advice on how to do that would be really appreciated. Thanks!
