Well, if this is just about picking up chicks randomly, I'm not a massive fan of telling that kind of guy to join our hobbies. However, assuming you just want a scenario where it is more likely you'll meet someone...

Look, if your hobbies are too manly and don't generally attract a lot of women (martial arts, sports, etc.) it's time to ask yourself what sort of things you could be curious about enough to do them for three months just to "see what that's about or learn a mild new skill". Not stuff you'd never be at all interested.

To give a personal example as a girl, I would never go to wine tasting. I don't really like alcohol, I'm not curious about knowing more about it, I find the whole thing laughable, and I don't want to know anyone deeply that would go to such a thing seriously.

But I would, for example, but curious about rock climbing. Not like, oh my god this is my new personal jesus interested, but mildly interested. Enough, that if I was looking to meet guys without being a super creep, I'd try rock climbing for three months. I've never cared enough about it to go for my own reasons, but I'd enjoy it and then if I didn't meet anyone or find out it was for me, I could quit without feeling like I'd wasted my life because at least I did something I've always been mildly interested in.

With that said, the following are typically more female centric hobbies:

Cooking
Baking
Knitting
Sewing
Dancing
Yoga
Gardening
Pilates
Book Clubs/Writing Clubs
Horseback Riding
Photography
Hiking
Volunteering for Charity
Art/Painting/Pottery

If any of these could be of mild interest to you for 3 months, join something to do with them.

The thing to do is figure out interests and hobbies and join clubs/ events in your area that are about that hobby

If you really pay attention and look for the obvious and/or subtle green lights, and are generally decent and empathetic, it's a simple as leaving the house for any reason

I knew a boy who was awkward and looking mediocre and all of a sudden had picked up a very nice girl in Tai Chi. In general, places where women are the majority but that are not extremely girls’ things. So better no knitting, but singing in a choir might be an idea.

just go out and find things you enjoy doing, and do them a lot. Find groups/classes.clubs that do the same. Fishing, birding, photography, tennis

Get a part-time job at a wine store like BevMo or Total, especially if it's located near a college and/or a business district. I did and it helped a lot with my social anxiety, since it's part of your job to interact with them.

If getting a part-time job isn't your thing, you can attend wine tastings.

Gyms, college classes, learn a craft, martial arts, art museums will have art discussions. A lot of it depends on the type of girl you are trying to attract.
