I do. Male btw. It really frees me from a group and allows me to not feel embarrassed at rejection.

I did when I was single. You go out without an agenda of trying to pick up women. Go out to enjoy yourself and get to know cool strangers and have strangers get to know a cool guy. If you feel ashamed of going out alone, it will show and you will have a very bad night.

This is why I prefer daygame to clubs. I would never go to a club without an agenda, as they’re just painfully not fun to me
[–]nbh1995 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Having fun isn't an agenda? I think if your mindset is focused on having fun you will find enjoyable activities besides sex...
[–]putcoolusernamehere 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Clubs aren't fun to me. Concerts or festivals are fun, but clubs are just awful.
[–]nbh1995 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
no thats not what I am saying. I am saying if you hit the club (or any place) with the attitude to connect with people you will find it easier to connect with people...and that is a positive agenda to carry even in the most unenjoyable circumstances

I used to but only because i got really comfy with this one dive bar 30-40 minutes from my place. i mean it felt insanely congruent with my level of comfort.
clean place but real dark and poorly lit, kind of small and a stage for some open mic. round tables mixed with little square tables to sit with dates at so you could sit beside them instead across from them. a pool table just in case.
i just cant describe how 10/10 it was/is for me personally. like id never feel weird about going in there alone.
other bars however (well lit, huge, lots of space, lots of groups of people, tv's), do not feel nearly as comfortable for me as of now.

I've done this many times and have met several women this way.

My only ever 'same day lay ' was me going to a bar solo and hooking up with a solo female
[–]truecrisis 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Going to the bar alone is by far the best thing you can do for yourself.
My first time I sat in the corner and finished a drink by myself and then left. I felt like a loser.
Now I can walk into any bar and befriend anyone. I felt like a million dollars when I unlocked this skill.
Usually, at the bars I go to at least, there is a "community table" where people sit who didn't arrive with others and that's often where I start. But now that I can talk to anyone I'll just open any group - male, female, or mixed.

I really struggle with this. I'm keen to know what works.
Like, I struggle with AA currently which I'm trying to kill with daygame. But I find that women tend to be far more on their guard at the bar. Could just be a personal thing I guess. Any advice? Approach solo girls, maybe? Or just approach anyone?
[–]truecrisis 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Approach men. Make friends, have fun.
You can't expect to just jump in the deep end. Get used to socializing and approaching strangers.
Women are not on guard at the bar, you are likely coming across as forced instead of a natural socializer.
Once you are having the time of your life chatting up all the dudes in a bar, then you can translate that momentum to women. Socializing with men translates just fine to women.
Once you get used to socializing with women, you can then start using your game on them and actually go for the seduction aspect.

I’m at a bar right now by myself lol
[–]ValerieVexen 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, takes somegetting used to and at first some kind of artificial courage may be needed to get your foot in the door, so to speak. But you don't have to worry about friends getting bored, or drunk, or worry about their success/lack thereof/cockblocking.
Go out with the inetion of having fun, not creeping every single woman you meet. The guy having all the fun is usually the most attractive guy in the bar (unless he's really fucking ugly.)
Have had heaps of success alone. (Male, despite the name.)

Male. I do as well, for the same reason, no embarrassment, just get back up and try again with the next drunkard that I fancy, it's less stressful because I'm bms

I used to go by self for at least 2 years, it’s actually as productive as going with your friend as by yourself you won’t have time yo just chat with you friend and not take any action
[–]BaconSexnDrugs 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I did it a couple times and there is this pressure for me to not be the dude who holds his drink in one hand and leans against a wall mean mugging. It forced me to go talk to strangers and is really a good test of your character to put yourself outside of your comfort zone. I would say go to a bar (preferably) or a club with a bar. The best place is usually outside by the smoking area. By the time it’s started to peak, people will be too drunk to give a fuck that you are alone and getting rejected by a girl doesn’t even matter since nobody knows you there. Go do it man
[–]DangleSlang 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Male here. Yep. Actually made it easier to get approached. Think about how intimidating it would be for a girl to go up to a group of guys? So this way you might notice that you get more women coming up to you at bars and you can obviously still do your thing and approach them if you want.
It also helps with social anxiety because you know you're just there for you and whatever comes out of the night, you know you created that scenario and that you can now do it whenever you want and not just when it's convenient for your friend or whoever.

Will sound nuts
But I enjoy reading at a bar with an backyard opening!
Relax. Drink. Sun. People always come up and say hi. It's nice.

Yes, I’m (21F) usually out by myself, as I have very few friends in the city. It works out about 80% of the time. I usually find people willing to talk and let me into their friend group for the night, we drink and dance together. If I’m feeling it with someone maybe we kiss or (rare) go home together. It doesn’t usually end up in long lasting friendships, but I have a few people now that I can call up for a night out when I want to. I admit it is very easy for me as I’m young, attractive, and social. The rare times it hasn’t worked we’re days I wasn’t feeling my best either and didn’t do much to approach people. I’ve learned a lot from this sub. It has definitely made it easier to approach guys and also know what ‘tactics’ are being used on me, it also helps me know definitively if someone is showing interest in me.

What kind of bars are typically best? Restaurant bars (chilis type of thing) or a “bar”?
[–]truecrisis 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Usually if the bar has too much seating it's not good. It's not easy to open a group that is sitting down.
The better bars are ones that force people to stand and even better if the standing area isn't limited to the walls, like if it has standing tables scattered in the middle of the venue.

Only if by "people" you mean serial killers, then yes.
[–]stanthemilkman88 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah. Not night clubs. Bur bars. It's how I built a new social circle.
[–]Local_Raisin4586 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I (male) do. Especially as i dont know as many people here (currently abroad in taiwan) but that way is the easiest to make new friends as i have experienced.

[–]ziomav89 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
M. Always. Depending on location, i prefer irish pub with live music and karaoke. And prefer being alone, until now
I am actually considering hitting some bars myself...problem is I don't drink..but that could be a funny thing to do
[–]Seneca_B 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I go to pubs, bars, and restaurants alone all the time and I'm not even trying to meet women right now. I like to be in public for food, a coffee, some light reading, stand up comedy, see a band play, anything. Sometimes you strike up a conversation, sometimes you don't. It's just nice to be around other people sometimes, and if I want to do something I just do it. I don't need a posse with me to hold my hand or inflate my ego.
[–]Glad_p 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
well i do go to bars alone and sometimes with male/female friends. lets just put it this way, it depends on your goal that night..
[–]jjboy91 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I don't because where I live it's only bars where you have to sit at a table. It's pretty boring and doesn't help to meet people
