Hey seddit! Just thought I would share a nice experience I had the other day. I was in the local mall getting some shoes. In the corridors of the mall there are lots of windows for the shops and whatnot, and I've noticed that generally every time people are near reflections they'll try to discretely check themselves out and see if they look ok. I actually caught a girl doing exactly that, sort of pretending to look in the window but it was obvious she was just using the reflection to fuss with her hair. All I did was smile and say "Don't worry, you look great!" It actually worked really well as an opener. She seemed to think that it was pretty funny and cute, and after chatting for a second I said I was going to grab a coffee and head out, and asked if she wanted to join me and experience the fine dining of the food court. We wound up having coffee together and exchanging numbers after I suggested we get together more recreationally later in the week; she said that she'd be up for going out for drinks sometime.

I'm typically bad at random approaches when alcohol isn't involved, but this was actually really easy to do. One thing I wasn't sure about was what to do after initially approaching her, because I had already done what I had came for (bought some shoes), and I feel like I should have maybe been a bit more creative... But overall it was a pretty good experience for me so I thought I'd share
