The smiling thing is really big.

Guys usually smile too damn much to try and break the tension or in an attempt to disarm a woman. A smile is fine at the start, but as you're talking to her, keep more of a normal face. Make her work a little bit to make you smile. It makes a tremendous difference.

Still don't believe it? How often do you see natural bad-boy or James Bond type guys smile? Not a lot, and they sure as shit don't go around grinning like an idiot.

About the smiling, the study was looking at pictures whereas seduction deals with real life. Its like comparing looking at a picture of a female model versus talking to a model. Models rarely smile for the camera because they look better that way on film but would she look hotter in person if she was smiling at you while talking to you or giving you the "blue steel?" Undoubtedly I would prefer she smiles during our conversation thereby showing personality, confidence and possibly attraction. If she is doing her modelling scowl at me, then I would be less attracted and probably bail. Real life vs. pictures are two very different worlds. Cracked was wrong on this one. Still, don't smile at everything like an idiot.

Chin up and good posture is not debatable. Standing like someone is pulling your hair up is the best easiest thing you can do.

I always open with a smile.

Smile "Hey! I really like your hair, looks great!" "I'm Woocheese, whats your name? hand shake Was nice meeting you." Smile while leaving. I always leave after an opener thanks to seddit's advice. Really works wonders later on when you come back to them and are already seen as that guy from earlier. A compliment and a smile is basically my opener.

wtf are they on about women not liking smiles. Sure I mean admiring from afar smiling may be a turn off, kind of like that picture of leonardo di caprio walking down the street with a big grin, but in conversation I think a smile is vital! First impressions are kept possitive because you look happy to talk to them. You look interested in what they are saying if you smile and laugh when somthing is funny or cool.

If you read the article, you'll notice that none of the supposed advantages provided were particularly significant. Oh, letting women approach me rather than the opposite will improve my odds by 2%, you say? Great, so long as I'm approached by 98% as many women as I would otherwise approach.

Furthermore, it's very unclear from the details provided in the article that any of the perceived effects were anything more than mere happenstance. What were the sample sizes? Was there any form of control?

I agree with the smiling thing, I always find it weird on here when people say you must be smiling 24/7 to attract women. Not only is it not natural, but nothing is creepier than a forced smile. The article got it right, smiling is attractive in girls, but guys should keep a straight face unless you naturally feel like smiling.

This article is basically interpreting the results of studies, and in many ways it is being way too liberal with it's interpretation.

For example, the smiling. This was a study where girls looked at pictures of guys and chose which one they think looked the most attractive. They chose the non-smiling pictures. The only thing you can safeley conclude from this is that girls find photo's of non-smiling guys more attractive than photo's of smiling guys.

Now, does that mean you can take an extra leap of logic and say that you should not smile when picking up girls? HELL NO. Do girls want to be around a guy who is always sad? HELL NO.

To be honest the only piece of useful information in this article is the head tilt thing. Everything else is counter-intuitive to pickup (waiting for girls to approach you is a terrible idea..), or out of your control (you can't make your ring finger longer bro, so don't worry about it).
