It's the world we live in. Everyone's afraid of getting "Me Too"ed or whatever. I've seen guys get demonized for daring to approach a woman or commenting on her attractiveness. He doesn't want to just go for it in case you wake up on the wrong side of the bed one day and decide to tell the world, "My boyfriend forced himself on me."

Not saying you would specifically OP, but it's the world we live in. Seen tons of dudes get their lives ruined by women deciding to lie or embellish to fuck with a guy, evidence be damned. Even in the times when the woman admits, "oh I was lying", the damage is done.

Consent is a BIG thing for men these days. No one wants to be labelled a predator/sexual assault perpetrator. So yeah, I can understand why he would want that.

You need to clearly explain what your boundaries are, what you consent to in advance and under what circumstances and IMPORTANTLY also tell him if the boundaries of consent change for you. Be clear and honest in this so he knows when he can and cannot initiate any form of intimacy, even kissing.

Even you post “how do I get him to just grab my face” could seem to some romantic partners as a non consensual interaction that lands them in trouble.

Consent can be a highly complex thing. Women have no idea how scared/concerned we can be with making them uncomfortable since we can so aware of how much of a threat we can be for them.

I would even dare to theorize that maybe he still doesn't fully trusts you. Maybe he wants to ravage you in the most violent way possible and this is a sign that you need more "Its ok" talk and not only regarding this, but maybe open yourself more in how open you can be with him.

Not necessarily related to you, but you have no idea how many guys need the most obvious and loud sign that it's OK for us to have intimate things with women.
