I took a long break from Reddit but I will share a story to give back to all you good people.

After a frustrating year, things were starting to get better. Becoming a better person, physically, mentally and emotionally every single day made the year just what the doctor ordered.

I had to recover from the traumatic breakup like a beast and felt that I was getting there rapidly. But still, there was one obstacle left. You always dreamt of the day where you could make her pay, fantasizing every moment in psychopathic detail. How she would see the new you and think "He looks great" and feel bad about it.

BUT today, I passed that hurdle. I talked to her to congratulate on her test result and we talked in a mature way. Forgiveness depends on time and personal development. When I made her laugh, think and reminisce without thinking of revenge or trying to get her back, I realized something. I was becoming a truly spectacular person without carrying this 100 lb. baggage. I had jumped the biggest obstacle standing in my way. Now, the real journey to redemption was beginning.

My message to all my brothers suffering from the heart-wrenching depression from a breakup or oneitis is simple.

You will get through this.

Give it time because time heals all.

Give it time because it will heal you.

Give it time because true self-improvement doesn't happen overnight.

Don't blame anyone because blaming will not make it any better.

Learn from your mistakes because believe me, you probably made a few if you really look objectively.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY,

YOU ARE ENOUGH.

YOU WILL MAKE IT.
