So I just returned from a first date with a chick I matched with on Tinder. Chemistry was great over text, lots of common interests etc. but when we met in person I could tell she wasn't really feeling it and she cut the date short after about an hour. Same thing happened recently with another chick. I don't use fake pictures or fake anything in my profile. Of course the pictures I use are ones where I look good but far frome something catfishy.

I'm fairly new to dating after a 5 year relationship (I'm 24 and didn't date before I met my ex) and while I've had 2-3 "good" online dates where I was the one that wasn't interested in meeting again and I get a decent amount of matches, dates like the one today just make me question myself and what I am doing wrong.

It is especially frustrating since I don't have much time, because I'm focusing intensely on my career and gym at the moment. Any tips on how I can weed out dates like the ones today because judging from our online interaction I was pretty optimistic.

Is it normal that chemistry can vary that much online and in person?

Edit: I refrained from adding my height to Tinder. I'm 5'9/175cm so I figured if anything it comes off as a bad thing and I don't get the chance to match with some girls. I'm not really insecure about my height but I thought maybe these chicks expected someone taller.
