I tell lies to make the situation easier. Like “gotta go, early morning tomorrow!” When really that’s not true.

But I’m not a fan of lying about anything about me, like age.

I lie about inconsequential things to move things smoothly through a social encounter. I don't lie about important details. I do withhold information, but I'm forthcoming when asked.

A good example of lies that I like, "Oh my God, did I just punch your face on accident? I'm so sorry! I'm so embarrassed! I'm gonna die!"

"Oh, naw you just brushed my shoulder, no big deal."

Little shit like that to smooth things over.

No. A lot of guys is an exaggeration at best. Few people are really that dishonest about something this fundamental and significant as age. Especially in the age of the internet, when people can figure shit out based off of social media.

In any case, don't lie about something like age. You shouldn't have to lie about anything really, to get somewhere. If you don't lie, you don't have bullshit you have to keep track of.

Lying should be avoided as much as possible, in the long run any lie can come back to bite you in the ass. I would personally only ever tell even a “white lie” if it was over something so inconsequential that it wouldn’t even matter in the long run, or if I’m not looking for anything serious with the girl. But even then I find you can accomplish the exact same thing by keeping explanations simple and not sharing too many details.

For example, you have a girl spend the night, then in the morning you need her to leave because your parents are coming over soon. You can tell a “white lie” and say you’re feeling a bit tired and need to rest, or you can simply tell her you “have things to do” later on and politely imply you need her out of the way. Both accomplish the same at the end of the day.

Or if I’m with a girl I met at a club and another girl I might be talking to texts me, a “white lie” would be “just a friend texting me.”

as a rule not just in seduction but in life, you'll never get away with a lie, even if no one finds out. you'll still have lied to yourself. it's arrogent to think you've got away with it.
