Why should it be in your best interest to smile less, especially if you get laid nonetheless?

I think it's important to have a good smile but you don't need to smile too much. A good smile is disarming and conveys that you are friendly and not a threat.

Smiling all the time makes you look simple.

But I think the biggest problem with smiling is that it lets the girl off the hook. If you want to be increasing tension in the interaction, you can't be too agreeable or give her "outs" like nodding and those "uh huh" sort of noises. A neutral face gives you authority and you will find people start to qualify themselves to you. Like imagine you're telling someone a story and their reaction is neutral and they don't fully engage with it, the natural reaction is to double down.

I am called mr. smiley ... I don't think it hinders me. Especially since a tease a lot of girls ... i need to smile and smirk.

Maybes try smirking more than smiling? Smirking is playfully challinging them.

Edit: I am also perceived cocky when girls first meet me.

I used to smile a lot, but I stopped doing that when my ex was jealous that I always smile whenever I talk to girls. In my defense I smiled to everyone not just to attractive girls. Idk why I smiled a lot, maybe it was from my upbringing (I was taught to be nice and friendly to others)

But what she said was an eye opening for me “You have a great smile. Don’t cheapen it by giving it to everyone. Much better when you give it to people who deserve it.” I was like whoah!

Women hate emotionless faces. They can’t read it and that confuses them (remember they prioritize emotional and relationship info first).

Thats the real cause of confusion. As long as your face has an emotion on it you are doing fine.

Try propranolol. If u want to do an experiment take clenbutarol u will get the same adverse effect from the excess central beta 2 adrenergic activation. Its the same mechansim that makes eye contact difficult in autism.

Without smiling Its impossible to seduce but also so much smile is a desire killer I just try to smile at opening and ending conversations unless I make a joke or smthng.

People try to smile more... Don't do it, you'll repel. Being attractive != being cool.
