Do those lines work for you?

For me i like to complement outfit especially if they have something unique on. Like “hey i like that outfit you look good in it. Whered you find something like that?”

Get them talking about themselves for a bit. Outfit is an extension of personality. So in a way im asking ghem about their personality. Women tend to wonder if they look good in an outfit so it’s not until a stranger say it that they believe it. So i try to be that stranger.

Then ill lead the convo into something interesting and once i feel like im in, ill make a joke here and there.

I don't do pick up lines...

Just go in without thinking, no need to treat her like a superstar or model. Just make a comment, then ask her name, and chit chat a bit.

Beautiful women have been told they're beautiful most of their life. They'd rather be complimented on something else. Plus, saying 'you're gorgeous' puts her on a pedestal and removes mystery about how you feel, and it communicates that you're not used to women of her beauty.

The problem with openers is you’re trying to be clever instead of making a connection, and the way to do that is by a common experience.

I just do that because it’s my nature. One example. Two weeks ago on the eve of a major blizzard, I was standing near the end of along line at the self-checkout line in a target.

I turned to the woman behind me and said, “I knew I should have come later tonight.”

She said, “Ugh, right. They really need more help.

That was all it took. Had I been on the make and she was single and even a little interested, the rest would have been easy, and these opportunities are everywhere.

My opener change from person to person, but it’s usually a hi, and the follow up is situational; if they’re on the beach, I’ll be like “anticipating a nice sunset today?”, bus shelter… I’ll ask “you been waiting for long for the bus?”, at my favorite restaurant…. “ hi… I saw you look at the menu…. Might I give a suggestion”, there are so many, you have to have situational awareness any the ability to carry a conversation

It's all about the context. Without it, everything feels forced and difficult.... Deep down in your mind, you know it's not okay, but everything changes when there is context. Learn how to create the context to say a certain thing, and everything becomes much easier.

doesn't really matter. You're opener (or even verbals after) aren't gonna be the thing that makes her wanna bang you. Cold approach is just about attraction, really

So just say 'hi, what's up?'. If shes attracted, it'll flow ok from there. If not, there was never gonna be some magic verbals that would have resulted in you getting her

Honestly , the more experience you gain, you start to realise that it doesn’t really matter what you say.

If you’re attractive enough and have good social intelligence, you can just say anything.

Stop trying to rehearse scripts and magic “one liners”.

The best thing you can do for yourself is regulate your nervous system and contribute your time, energy and resources into avenues that help you feel confident and competent.

Do these things and your aura will reflect the authenticity of the confidence you are projecting.

This will take you to far greater heights than saying XYZ.

When I wasn't fat and still good looking, I used to say "met anyone interesting yet?"

If they say yes, you say "want to meet another?"

If they say no, you say "want to meet your first?"

You'd usually get a laugh out of them and a start to a conversation.

I ask them "how many wheels a bicycle has?" When they say 2 I follow up with "and there are two of us in this relationship. Let's move forward then. What's your name beautiful?" Shell laugh and I usually wing it from there

Mine used to be any offhand comment that could be acknowledged or not. For instance, stepping on to a train (if applicable):”Damn! Are they giving away rides? It’s never this crowded.”

Or in an airport gate area: “Uh-oh. They just pushed boarding back an hour.”

It was absolutely painless.

I'm impressed as 80% of the comments here are correct. It's about the energy not the words.

One thing I always say is that the prep-work has been done. That doesn't mean standing in the mirror at home practicing your smile or pickup lines.. you're way too late by that point. The prep work was done years in advance, going to the gym, working on a positive mindset, researching fashion that works for you personally, becoming a good man to those around you. All of that shit affects your energy, and I've read about 90% of communication is non-verbal. 90 percent.

The "opener" is like 1% of the last 10%, nobody is dumb or cheap enough to fall for canned lines. And if they are, they're either insane or they already liked the other 99% of you and the opener was just an excuse to engage.

OP, you probably already know this but you're able to say "hey im sean.." and be successful. That's because you've probably got your life in order. I personally know this works, which is great. For the other redditors here who struggle.. this won't work for you if you're still a basement dweller, so hit the gym and some grass.

“I see you, and am not closed off from talking to you” (She looks back and away)

“Ok I am checking one more time with my eyes to confirm” (you look at her and her body language)
