I met a girl on tinder. She wanted kids, I didn't, so we just ended up being friends.

I don't know what kind of girls your friend is dating but they are deffintly not mature.

I personally don't even have a Facebook or Instagram anymore to bother with.If a woman will write some thing then I was very lucky for rejecting her in the first place.

Though there is a FB group called Online dating creeps where women post their "experiances" with online dating, and a lot of women that got unmatched or rejected after one date post dirt and lies about the guys that rejected them.

Rejecting people is never easy and never something I look forward to, but there's a few simple guidelines to make it as pain-free as possible.

1. Don't lie. Should be common sense but the temptation will be there. Most of the hurt feelings from a rejection come from deception, be it from another or to yourself. Truth is the active medicinal ingredient of any rejection, and the rule of thumb should be to be as honest as they ask for or you think they can handle. Remember that just because you shouldn't lie doesn't mean you should fire a full spread of truth torpedoes - give them what they ask for and what they need to know, and let them decide beyond that.

2. Don't delay unnecessarily once you've made up your mind, but pick an opportune moment. Don't lead people on just because you can. When the time comes to rip the bandaid off or shatter a delusion do it without hesitation or equivocation. Don't give false hope, or be ambiguous, you owe it to them to make a clear and resolved decision.

3. Operate from a place of empathy, not a place of ego. Rejection sucks, and the best way you can do it while minimizing the suck is to take the ego out of the equation. You should have nothing to prove, you're the one rejecting. And if you reject someone from a place of ego rather than empathy, you come off like an asshole, rather than someone who just wasn't right for them. Also if they've taken the hint without you needing to say anything, don't go chasing after them to make it official. Let them make a clean getaway if they so choose.

4. Mention a thing or two they did right to make the pill easier to swallow. This should also be common sense. Their ego is gonna be bruised if they were at all invested. So positive feedback goes a long way towards softening the blow. Build their ego back up a little, and who knows you might part on decent terms.

5. Reach a mutual understanding with the person being rejected, and then make a clean break. Most people screw this up for one of two reasons - they're too avoidant or immature to end things like an adult, or they leave things open-ended. If you want or must have an ongoing relationship with someone, you must reach a mutually acceptable understanding, otherwise the rejection will always be a sore spot that will undermine a clean break. Once this step is done, then you go no contact. Ghosting is such a teenage girl move and should be beneath any guy with balls who isn't dealing with an abnormal personality.

At the end of the day, it's my belief that most people will take rejection in a reasonably mature fashion if you follow these steps. They won't get you off the hook if the relationship was super messed up before or the person is a Stage 5 clinger, but in my experience, if you give people the chance to take rejection well, most of the time they'll take it. There's a way to give and receive it properly and ultimately we have to pay it forward for good behavior to become a trend.

I was in a relationship limbo, and ended up rejecting someone who I was casually seeing because I wanted to make amends with a toxic ex. I never really saw a future with her in the first place, but she ended up crying while sitting on my bed, and it was the worst feeling.
