When in doubt, don't do anything. I forget where I heard this, but it's so powerful and needs to be repeated.

One of my biggest mottos for women back in college, after I had the number, was Not doing anything > doing something average. I.e. not texting her, not showing up to the event, being mysterious, not answering her questions, etc. was WAY more powerful than texting something average if I wasn't sure how to handle the situation or if I didn't know what to say.

I recently forgot this and now I'm kicking myself. Was emailing with this old hb9 hookup that was visiting my city soon. She eventually asked me about my life, I wasn't sure how to respond. Debated ending the convo there, or giving her a 2 line response. but ended up writing a long paragraph and revealed way too much about my life. Of course, our previously flirtatious email convo ended after that email. She wanted me to keep it short and mysterious. Forgot my old guidelines. When in doubt, don't do anything or keep it short. She'll fill in the blanks with exciting and positive assumptions about you.
