There will always be a split on seddit.

Half of them think you can 'game' a girl into finding you attractive.

The other half are more like you in that it's simply about finding girls that are receptive to you (numbers game). No 'techniques' or anything. Just 'be yourself' and try to 'have fun' and see where it goes

Examples of how you 'have fun' when you approach a complete stranger? (hot girl at a bar or on the street or whatever). Like, what do you say/do?

For people confused about what he means by game- think outer game (strategies, tactics, maneuvers) vs inner game (lifestyle, character, attitude). He means stop the outer game. Inner game is still good.

I found this out myself recently. Before, I’d put on a “performance” of sorts around women and was moderately successful. It felt off, so I decided to be myself instead of playing a seductive character. Not only do I receive more attention, I receive attention from quality women who don’t tolerate the bullshit most men try to pull off.

I enjoy it more, too. They’re attracted to the real me, not an attractive character I’m playing. I’m more calm and patient, as I’m not hurriedly running them through some routine I’ve come up with from books and blogs. If they want it, they want it. If not, I move on.

While learning how to interact with women is important (how to have a fun date, how to go in for the first kiss), I feel all of the acting and posturing we do is counterproductive. Let’s just be honest with women instead.

This is exactly my approach (the 'zero state' or 'anti-game' method).

If you want to know why girls don't return your texts after giving you their number, it's because they have been programmed by all the guys before you to just give it out to shut them up. So of course they ignore your text and most likely delete your number the next day. It's because they have been trained to do it.

Instead, focus on making an emotional connection and positive impression. Get in her head. Make her want to come to you. Make that the 'challenge' vs trivial scorekeeping re: approaches and numbers.

If you want to know why many guys fail at all approaches, its simply be cause they are social 'duds' and all the methods and lines can't fix that. And TBH, I'm not even sure its fixable in all cases.

I absolutely HATE the dynamic here sometimes where guys are going out strictly to game girls, get laid, then do it over and over again. People forget to just be human.

Plain and simple, a lot of the stuff here is manipulation. I'm not against it because it's not toxic, but a lot of guys will put pressure on themselves to be a certain way because the community said so and that's just fake. Use the tips here, have fun, but don't treat others differently / let it consume your life. I did and it drained the fuck out of me until I learned that I should still be myself and treat people exactly how I want to, with a trick here and there that I learned from the community.

I stopped gaming girls. I saw that my motives were selfish. Very selfish motives of oh, lets talk to these girls now and do this to them. Now, these girls and do this. When i stopped gaming girls, my focus became on having fun instead. This has changed the WHOLE dynamic.

Being selfish isn't "gaming." So if that's what you shifted, then you didn't really stop "gaming."

An important part of "game," is calibration. This idea that you're not just confidently pursuing your own agenda, but that you're aware of HER and what she wants. Sounds like you're more in touch with this if you're having fun.

Girls can read body language like 10x better than us and so i think they can see when a guy has an agenda.

While they can definitely tell when a dude has an agenda, this isn't a bad thing. What's bad is when the guy is single-minded about his and doesn't care so much about the girl's side of it.

But re: girls reading body language 10x better, seriously...... nope. I've seen too many girls say in-between breaths while making out, that they never saw it coming. Men and women can be equally clueless. And they are both capable of reading it all well enough if they're actually paying attention. Culturally speaking, we teach men to NOT pay attention, which is one reason why we have Seddit; a lot of guys have to ask how and when to do things because they don't know how to plug into the social interaction and listen to the cues they're being given.

I encourage you to try it. Go approach girls and know that you have so much to offer because your goal is to have FUN with them. Stop gaming and just approach to have a great time and find people you click with.

I'd say again, you're not suggesting to stop "gaming." You're actually suggesting to do it right.

You SHOULD be going in with no expectations other than fun, getting to know people, and finding out if you click with them.
