She wants to keep the house. I don’t blame her. I do too but it’s not in the cards for me. Her father is offering to buy me out of the house, so she can keep it. That would mean that I walk away with my half of the equity, she keeps the low interest rate, and my name is still on the mortgage. I want to be nice but I don’t want to rent an apt and miss out on opportunity to purchase my next place. I potentially won’t be able to purchase a property for myself for 12 months. Thoughts?
