I was just thinking this. When I do start dating again, I want the man to give me a list of perks of being his girlfriend. Im not just going to say yes or be grateful. If he cant put pen to paper and come up with that list hes not for me anyway because I can write out 500 ways Id benefit a man as a partner.
Same for marriage. I would never marry for just love. Thats not enough. If I agreed to marry him, Id want to know how our relationship would level up wih him becoming a husband vs a boyfriend.
I also plan on running credit checks, background checks etc before marrying. It sounds extreme but you can tell alot about a person based on how they spend money and Im not marrying a man only to find out he has huge debt, or addictions or somehing. Nope.

I have virtually lived one, watching the way my dad treated my mom like shit, and still took half her pension. There are remorseless demons out there that seriously will marry you SO THAT when you finally can't take their abuse anymore, they can get their filthy hands on your fucking PENSION. I seriously cannot stress this enough: it is not extreme to do any of those things. And it has nothing to do with being a gold digger or any stupid fucking stereotype like that. There are manipulative people who know what they're doing and that is why they marry, so they can fuck you over.
