Ok so I know I haven't posted in a while but im getting ready to start college and I know this is a dating subreddit but I really wanna talk about the misogynistic idea about daddy issues which is pushed onto women.

First of all im not even sure daddy issues even exists it seems to me that term is only pushed onto girls who are promiscuous but never boys who do the same thing. Also plenty of promiscuous girls have fathers so I don't think that point stands this appears more to me of a male delusion the idea that fathers are the end all and be all of raising children when in reality their wives do most of the work.

Men seem to be under the delusion that simply by existing around their child there kids will be functioning members of society and only those single mothers raise delinquent children. As if poverty isn't the biggest predictor of success and not number of parents. Also they love to act as if mothers can't raise good sons and only fathers can't teach boys how to be men well I hate it break it to you but those sons you raised are just as dusty as the sons you didn't the sons you raised you passed down all your prejudices and toxic masculinity onto.

I've known tons of people who honestly probably would have done better with a single mother then there often abusive strict emotionallly unintelligent sexist toxic pigs of a father. My own mother struggled with emotional issues her whole life because of an overly critical and disapproving father. Most men are honestly dogs shit parents and if kids have "daddy issues" its probably because most men aren't capable of raising stable children.

I was raised by a single mother I dont have daddy issues I dont like older men im not "wild" or "crazy" or "toxic" i have no interest in replicating a relationship with my absent father and I most definitely didn't end up a criminal or delinquent nor did my sister my brother on the hand who was raised with a father and a good stable one at that ended up a drug dealing criminal who ended up in prison and addicted to heroin fathers are NOT the answer.
