Have you ever noticed how whenever men's issues are brought up, one of the standard progressive/feminist responses is 'that stems from misogyny, so we should focus on women's issues first'.

An example would be when pointing out how the vast majority of people killed for their sexuality are gay men. They are disproportionately targeted, even more than lesbians. I've seen feminists unironically claim that this is due to how men demonise femininity, and that it would be solved if men let each other be more feminine and started treating women better.

It's extremely self-centered - instead of empathising with a group of people undergoing hardship, their first instinct is to claim that it's all about them, and that if we solved their issues, then the issues of other groups would be magically solved.

I like to call these types of responses 'trickle down feminism' for obvious reasons. (I'm stealing this term from feminists lol)
