Men's version of Tea app?

There was an app called Teaborn that was open to men and women. It’s not on the AppStore at the time of writing but it does have a website. This is probably the app people are referring to.

So with the info available it does exist and it has been removed from the AppStore, but I can’t find anything to verify the timeframe.

I can't speak to the nationwide (worldwide?) groups, but at the request of some of my women friends I joined a local "Are we dating the same girl (City)" group. I expected to see a lot of hate speech, revenge porn, etc., but to be honest all I found was a bunch of dorks who didn't understand how to date.

It was a lot of "matched with this girl on tinder, are any of you been out with her?" And then they'd be surprised when a person they had never even met is in fact going on dates with other guys.

Overall I found the group to be more pathetic than anything dangerous or scary. But I can really only speak to the group in my city.

NBC News - Women are anonymously spilling tea about men in their cities on viral app

One app has already tried to offer that. The Teaborn app climbed to No. 3 in the free apps chart Wednesday before it disappeared from the App Store.

Shortly ahead of its removal, the app had rolled out an update with “enhanced content moderation and reporting tools” after its creator condemned users for allegedly sharing revenge porn on the platform.

Teaborn told NBC News in a social media statement: “Apple just removed us yesterday because Tea app doesn’t like competition, but we are working to go back with a new brand!”

Apple didn’t respond to a request for comment.

Teaborn wasn't a "men's app" though, it was unisex.

A lot of people just ignore the inherent problem of the fact that it’s an app where you can label people whatever anonymously. I know the guy who made the app made it with good intentions but this is the internet, an app where you’re encouraged to label people whatever you like anonymously is going to lead to some/most people lying on your name.

This already happened and that’s basically what happened although it’s possible (probable?) that antagonistic trolls sabotaged it on purpose by uploading illegal content and then reporting it. Or maybe it was just brigaded by creeps, who knows.

It's been my experience that all of the horrible things that women are afraid of male communities doing (sharing sexual details about SOs, sharing pictures without consent, etc.) are the exact things that women themselves do. I have read and heard countless stories of men being insecure because they're girlfriends' entire friend group knows the size of his dick or his specific kinks, and very, VERY few anecdotes where its the other way around.

If course its not all women, I feel like these online communities we see are just a very vocal minority of how people really behave. But that still doesn't make it okay.

Women dehumanize men and see them as NPCs and creeps barely worth giving any empathy or sympathy to? Well men must do the same to women, but worse, because they're men.

Women use men as ATMs and free labour and protectors and providers when convenient, and not as human beings? WEll men must do the same to women and use women for sex, but worse, because they're men.

Women weaponize their incompetence by pretending they can't lift heavy stuff or can't do gross chores they don't want to do? Well men must weaponize their incompetence and using at against women too but worse, because they're men.

Women don't care about men'S emotions, don't listen when men open up, don't value men's emotions, and are emotionally unavailable to men? Well men must do the same to women, but worse, because they're men.

Women cause men emotional labour by constantly complaining about small irrelevant shit, not wanting any help, just wanting to be heard and seen and validated, without ever telling men what they want and men must just read women's minds and know what she emotionally wants? Well men must cause even more emotional labour to women, but worse, because they're men.

Women use online apps and websites to share gossip and destroy men's reputations online in close groups where men can't have access to it? Well men must do the same, but worse, because they're men.

It's starting to feel to me more and more like the vast majority of the complaints women have about men, are actually things women do TO men, but they complain men do it more as a deflection, to redirect the blame, and to maintain the narrative that women are these pure innocent angels who can do no harm while everything wrong with the world must always the fault of men.

The tea app is just the latest in a long long long line of examples.

If something was taken down in short succession sometimes there isn't a way to show others that it existed. If you weren't fast enough to "catch the tea" then don't worry about it! If you know, you know. The whole situation is hilarious. The woman that were mad need to realize that "barbershop talk" was more or less kept... Untill cyber bullying allowed everything to get wayyy crazy. By the way that app wasn't even the first "men-based" app. Women tend to forget who controls certain markets. (Ie the tech industry). The only tragedy about this is that sometimes it pays to be single and as usual the children of these relationships are being caught up in the midst!

There were several incidents where an obscure male site (An image board like 4chan to be more clear as in something most would be unaware of) shared a shit ton of revenge porn, and I recall a small gather of men got together for an instant message chat where they drugged and traded their wives around but I am unaware of an app exactly as tea. These incidents from men tended to come from a private source
