My last girlfriend tried to trap me into marriage by secretly going off the pill and getting pregnant. I'd be nice to not have to worry about shit like that anymore.

Seeing as men have no considerable rights to choose what happens during an unwanted pregnancy, I believe that ALL responsible men should look into this (providing it is safe, etc).

I would, or undergo a 99% reversible vasectomy, as long as it doesn't have long term health consequences. The testosterone shot worries me because of the evidence of long term testosterone supplementation leading to testicular atrophy.

I personally would love to take a male contraceptive, assuming it was tested and proven safe.

just think, never accidentally get a girl pregnant. Never have to say: "No I don't have a condom" and then have to not have sex. It would be great.

Absofuckinlutely. Not because I don't trust my girlfriend, but because it's another level of safety. It gives us the choices they've had for several years. And if you do it all right (you on the pill, her on the pill, and condoms), there's going to be an effectively zero chance of pregnancy. I can just see women's empowerment groups decrying this for some stupid reason or another

And the response to the typical female question of, "what if a guy says he's on the pill and lies?" Well, it's the same as if a female says she's on the pill. You hope that she's telling the truth, and use a condom anyway. You shouldn't be taking that off unless you're in a committed relationship. It's your safety net, not your lifeline.

Hah, a male contraceptive would be a godsend. Men would never have to worry about getting trapped by unwanted pregnancies again. I'd be happy for you guys if a male contraceptive was created! While condoms are usually effective, they're not 100% safe and all the power should not lie with women when it comes to contraception (or lack thereof).

I would use one without a doubt.

However, in this world of forced paternity, I would request that if the contraceptive was chemical-based, then it would also include an inert chemical marker that could be used in a paternity case as evidence that a male was on the contraceptive, thereby disqualifying him as being the father of a contested child.
