I've always been confused as to why they don't just take the "smokey" approach and say "YOU can stop rape." Just use a picture of a bruised hand (no implied gender!) pointing straight at the viewer.

It's pretty much dead-on about the issue and addresses the important topic of mother-child abuse.

However it treats women like men are treated, therefore it will never EVER see the light of day.

i saw that ad months ago on facebook, got into a huge argument with some white knight who was saying "nobody could possibly take your claims of sexism towards men seriously, only women can be victims of sexism"

Romance novels and soap operas tell women that they want the asshole, and the grass is always greener on the other side. Men through sports idols and movies believe they should be sticking the wand into every orifice this world has to offer. My wife just told me about a presentation that was only for the 9-10 grade boys at her school about domestic violence. I was pretty appalled that they'd only include the boys. I asked if she had heard anything else about it but she was teaching a class at the time.

EDIT: Adding that I should probably put this as a new post, but thought the point of these adds mirrored the situation she described relatively well with the double standard applied.

I saw the original. I thought it was a good ad. Looking at all of the ones that you have made, (with the exception of edit 2) I think they are also good ads. I think that because advocating awareness of stopping violence/rape is a good thing.

The reason I am not fond of edit 2 is because the message of the picture isn't really clear. Perhaps in OP's country people would get the gist of it right away, but in the rest of the ads the text in the middle of the page give an example of a scenario and how someone avoids falling into the pitfalls that can occur in the scenario. In this ad it gives an example of just a scenario without explaining that it can be avoided.

The numbers you are basing your opinion on are inaccurate.

I know the report; 'women are more often child abusers' is a common but inaccurate summary. The issue is that women are more often caregivers. The report does not attempt to normalize the numbers (and good luck doing so). It is possible that women are more often child abusers. It is also entirely possible that men are. Keep this in mind.
