There is diversity in RP, but it is not diversity you perceive. There are "enjoy the decline" platespinners, mgtows, mras, LTR/marriage dude, tradcons and religious TRPs.

What you are perceiving as groupthink is the exclusion of nonRedpill based thought, aka leftism and /feminism. Any non-left group has to be somewhat "group think" in it's vigilance against letting leftists and feminists invade it with their dialectic technique to destroy it. any group that isn't explicitly left and feminist will become so if they aren't kept out. This is a very ironic question. Blue pill thinking and society is so dogmatic and group think oriented that people who disagree have to do so on the Internet with their identities hidden less their lives be ruined for daring to have thoughts that contradict the party line.

The red pill has to restrict who can post in order to survive. If it didn't, best case scenario is that it would basically just be this sub, and worst case scenario it would be flooded with posts and comments shaming and threatening members for their decision to be there. Either way, it would cease to fulfill its purpose which is to help men learn how to get what they want.

If you need to be told what in out discussion is valuable to you in your life and what's not, then you're not one of us, because we don't tell you what you're supposed to do with your life. We merely tell each other what is statistically likely to happen if you do this and that. Our discussions, our collective thinking, it's only about causation and correlation. Just like any STEM-subject. The Red Pill and the manosphere at large is a product of "organic" ideas. Dudes sit around inventing bro theories and throw it up on the internet. Some of it is good a lot of it isn't.

Any community in which ideas can be shared and people are punished or rewarded for sharing ideas is vulnerable to groupthink.

The entire structure of Reddit lends itself very well to groupthink. The upvote/downvote system causes agreeable ideas to be filtered to the top, and disagreeable ideas to be hidden. Users are socially punished for disagreeing with the group.

TRP is vulnerable to that, which is why there is so much groupthink in it. Nuanced criticisms of RP ideas tend not to get coverage, whereas agreement gets publicity. There is plenty of disagreement in TRP, but it tends to be "how can we fit this into our ideology?" Rather than: "is our ideology wrong?" You see the same disagreement in /r/feminism - they argue with each other all the time, but those arguments never question the core tenets of the ideology.

The TRP "subreddit" is mostly "group think" due to it being strictly moderated. Any deviation from the moderators will get you banned.

However, the overall manosphere/TRP is far from "group think".

Ever notice how much infighting there is between different factions in the manosphere? Literally, no one likes each other lol

"Do TRP readers read TRP because they agree with it, or they agree with it because they read it?"

TRP isn't groupthink, it's a framework with which to create a working model of reality. There is a specific set of immutable principles, much like how modern biology demands that you accept specific truths like evolution. Within that framework there is a lot of discussion and ideas.

Not to toot my own horn, but I have some of the most controversial posts in TRP history. There isn't universal consensus, the idea is to push the envelope and see which ideas withstand scrutiny and fact-checking. That's how we develop the model.

Much like how no one will entertain Creationism in the scientific community, no RP'er is going to entertain challenging the core ideas because we've already seen they're true.

The point of subreddits is to collect as a group.

Redpillers argue, but the discrepancies between our arguments are so much smaller than those of a starch feminist.

Filter out the airhorn so we can actually discuss the finer details.

You will see a lot of comments and posts getting downvoted, but the users wont be banned. TRP has evolved somewhat.

I once reacted to a TRP'er that claimed women don't do well in STEM majors. I simply pointed documented facts out that stated women have higher GPA's in STEM majors. I was downvoted and subsequently called out for being a cuck apologist. All for pointing out an objective fact that doesn't fit TRP narrative. So yeah, groupthink at its finest.
