He could be a more controlling and insecure type who is trying to lock you down quickly.

IDK about most men, but my parents got engaged about 3 months after meeting. My dad said he proposed because my mom was pregnant. It was the 80s and her family's super Catholic. Been married 35 years. They were also both in their early 30s, so they'd had plenty of dating experience.

I got married after 6 months of meeting my husband. We’ve been married for years now and we have a kid. It’s a good sign as long as you you can see and feel that the connection and compatibility is 100% truly there. It’s pretty easy to tell when it’s just working vs when you’re seeing someone love bomb you.

I broached the subject with my now ex gf because I was willing to move on with my life. I don't think that most young folks should have a relationship longer than a year without being serious about the future, unless they both "commit" to not being serious.

It also depends on age. I know a ton of guys after their late twenties that they "don't have it in them"/can live with a semi serious relationship/situationship.

My husband proposed two months after we met, and we married six months after that. We were both early 30s, secure in who we are as individuals, and knew what we wanted from a partner and marriage.

I also had told him if he wanted exclusivity he needed to propose, because to me, dating means exploring options and getting to know people. I won’t take myself off the market for a “girlfriend” title. I’m sure that loved things along more quickly, because he wanted to lock me down lol

If the man is 40+ he w that old school shh: getting married in under a year ( still a red flag imo) but reasons : 1. He sees you as a goal to be checked off☑️: Man has “everything together “ financially but No wife to share it with.

It could be several things, from immaturity, trauma, lack of insight, narcissistic love bombing, and/or control. It is not a reflection of a woman's looks. My husband proposed quickly (four months into dating), but we already knew we would have a long engagement (over a year). Looking back on it now (18 years later), he says he would not have done anything differently regarding proposing to me because he knew I was the one he wanted to spend his life with. Still, he would have set up the foundation of our relationship much differently. Neither of us knew what we didn't know, and we both had much growing up to do. I personally also had a lot of trauma. I thought I could keep it packed in its nice metaphorical box on the shelf that I never opened, but I didn't realize it would impact my views and opinions so profoundly.

I think many men nowadays are actually more wary of very beautiful women in a way, because those often have a past and who knows what kind of baggage that may bring. It’s different from the old days. Social conditions are also prime for men to way to propose regardless of how beautiful the woman is. And, I think you’re forgetting the combination of looks and internal qualities influences men to commit, especially in this environment.

Yes Its possible thats why I said Some men not all. And ofc older couples will have a shorter courtship before marriage yk why? Men and women didn’t have access to instant gratification like that; little to no access to pornography, no dating apps, slower life, less divisiveness of sexes etc, and NO access to birth control so back then if you wanted to have sex you had to get married( you had to ask your husband for permission to take birth control and bc was available to single women until the mid 70s. You know the dating seen has changed drastically since their times and most people nowadays aren’t genuine about their intentions in relationships anyway! I tell you how my dad told me ( born in the early 60s married and pregnant within a year of meeting my mom btw didn’t turn out great) he said back in the 70s/80s a man would be lucky to get a kiss on the 1st date, i told him that young men looking to date want more than a kiss on the 1st date.( gen z btw)
