For the record, I am a 23F in a major city in the PNW, with a Bachelor's degree and I work as an accountant.

Since January 2016, I have dated two guys who seemed amazing (one moreso than the other). I initially met Jack through Tinder (yes I know people on this sub have their opinions on that, but I was very picky) and we matched and he talked to me for over a week before finally asking to meet for coffee. Never made any type of sexual comment, so he seemed to have good intentions and seemed very interested in getting to know me. While he was very shy on the first date (he was a compsci major so I assumed just inexperienced) he was cute and sweet and we agreed to a few more dates where he opened up a bit more. We finally had sex after dating for a month where I lost my virginity. He was quite patient with me. He told me he had bad experiences in the past with abusive ex girlfriends and said he doesn't get close to people easily. I also found his reddit username (sort of an accident, he uses the same username for literally everything.) and saw he had some issues with depression and not wanting to socialize but the posts were old. I figured he was doing better. I did not bring up that I found this. Months go by, he introduces me to his friends who all seem to like me and comment how I'm much more "sane" than his exes (and his best friend's girlfriend who has known him since HS told me how smitten Jack is with me when he would talk about me.) I spent a lot of times with him and his friends but I noticed there were days he just seemed down. He would tell me he "doesn't like to talk about his problems" and would not open up easily.

In June I was graduating and he was going to the following December, but he had an internship in the same city I would be working in. My parents were coming up so I asked if he was okay to meet them for lunch after commencement and he agreed. Lunch went well and he liked them and they liked him. It was pretty casual. Two days later we hang out and I spend the night, he seems quiet and down about something, I ask what is wrong and he says he is just tired. Then two days later, then morning he is about to leave for his internship, he texts asking if I am home and asks if he can stop by. He comes by and breaks up with me saying he "needs to be on his own" "figure out what he is doing with his life" and can't be in a relationship due to depression. I was disappointed but did not get angry and went NC (but we remained FB friends).

That summer I only contacted him twice, to wish him a happy birthday and one other time when it was necessary. He was friendly during both these times and asked how I was doing and I was polite but kept them brief. In October I realized he was dating someone else which upset me. In April even he sent a fairly inappropriate message to me considering he had a new girlfriend and I cut contact with him and unfriended him. He has blocked me since.

I moved on and downloaded 3 dating apps, Tinder, Bumble and Coffee Meets Bagel. Tinder and Bumble I couldn't get a conversation going, but I matched with a guy named Alex (also 23) on CMB who seemed very much my type. I could see he worked at Microsoft as a software engineer and was also not religious like me. He said he appreciates when his dates show interest and share their passions. We agreed to meet for coffee and it was wonderful and lasted 3 hours, went much better than my first date with Jack. We exchanged numbers and met up again for dinner a few nights later and exchanged a goodbye kiss and held hands. We then went on two more dates which went well and he was very affectionate and mentioned doing things in the future together. On the third date he asked if I had been on a lot of CMB dates and I said he was the first since I had just downloaded it. He told me he had been on a couple less successful ones in the past and said "I don't get the whole dating multiple people at once thing" and I asked if he used Tinder and he responded he hates Tinder. On the fourth date when I kissed him goodbye he invited me inside but I said "I enjoy getting to know you."

Then after this I invited him to my place where I cooked him a nice meal which he really enjoyed and we watched a movie and eventually had sex. We cuddled and talked for hours afterwards and we had planned to go to the zoo in our city since he hadn't been and he was very excited and looking forward to it. He loved putting his head on my chest while I ran my fingers through his hair. Last Wednesday I get a text at work from him asking if I wanted to hang out and watch TV, I said sure and he says "Should I just come over when I'm done with work?" I was slightly surprised but ultimately thought if he feels comfortable enough with me to ask to come over that is a good thing. He does and he is kinda tired, we watch tv and have sex again and he stays around for a bit. He told me when leaving that he has friends coming up to visit him this weekend but confirmed Sunday for the zoo.

Yesterday I text him asking if 1 o clock works and he agrees and apologizes for being busy the rest of the weekend and I assure him it is no problem. Then that night at 11pm, when I'm exhausted and ready for bed I get a text that reads.

"Hey. I've been thinking about where we're at. I've had a fun time with you, but I don't think I see us becoming more than friends. I'm really sorry."

I was too shocked to even cry. He did not in a million years seem like the type of person who would think that is okay via text message. He would not respond to anything I wrote after that. He seemed even more into me than Jack did and more commitment oriented and I'm completely at a loss for what happened. We seemed very compatible. These are some of the things I was making sure to do while dating.

-Cooked them dinner (Jack I did for multiple times) which I could tell they enjoyed very much

-Always kept my apartment clean

-Only swore very minimally. Never got drunk around Alex (Jack and I were still in college and did go to bars with his friends a few times).

-We were all atheists so no issues there

-I felt we were on a similar intelligence level, and enjoyed many of the same shows/movies. Alex and I especially both loved food

-Since I know it will be mentioned, I have a BMI of 20, and an hourglass figure and look pretty good naked if I say so myself. I do wear makeup but nothing too heavy. I have longer hair that I style (around armpit length). I keep good hygiene and have good skin, nails and teeth. I definitely keep up with my appearance and dress fairly femininely (I wear dresses but if I am not I dress to fit my figure.

-Do not have a high n-count

-I wasn't exactly a starfish in bed, and I never turned them down ever. I was on top, did doggy style, oral (and uh finished, sorry a bit TMI) and even in missionary I would try to use my hands and not just lay there.

-I was not overly negative at all and interested to explore new things with them. I never showed jealously or nagged. Never made them watch any tv they didn't want to watch, go shopping with me, etc.

-Not sure if it is relevant, but we were all white. Both guys were the same age as me. Jack grew up in the same area, Alex was from Austin and went to college in LA.

Tl;dr: Dated two guys who seemed sensible and not the "hit it and quit it" types at all, had a lot of compatibility items checked off, and they both dumped me out of the blue even when trying to be the best girlfriend I could be and using RPW principles.
